i liked it a lot. i saw it with my friend and my bro. all of us jumped out of our seats when the alien passed the alley. i thought the movie was well made and pretty damn scary (eh, i have this thing with alien movies, they get to me). sure some people argue that it was illogical to invade a planet 3/4th covered in the compound that kills them, but how the hell would the aliens know? all in all, it was a great movie.

KTOG 07-26-2004 01:10 AM

I just didn't find it believable that aliens were hurt buy water. Christ, there is water vapor in the air ... they would be dead as soon as they came.

ya that was gay, should never have shown alien fully either, was bad move

unbreakable was not that great either

SoLiDUS 07-26-2004 02:13 AM

Unbreakable was my favorite M.Night flick. Of course, Sixth Sense rocked too...

I think that whole interview or episode was a hoax because it was on the news that an interview describing a 'unauthorized bio' of hte director was fake.

ShagNasty 07-26-2004 05:13 AM

i liked all his movies but unbreakable was kind of cheesy.

i didnt like unbreakable at all. Sixth Sense was definitely good though.

KTOG, sure that could of happened, but whats the point of a movie about the aliens then?

Tripper 07-26-2004 02:08 PM

I think you have to be a skilled director to be able to freak the shit out of people by using a fake-ass green alien that looks just like a man in a green suit...(Scene in the news cast where Alien walks past)...

Shamalayan has mastered the art of shock, IMO.....

*UNBREAKABLE SPOILERS BELOW*

I think Unbreakable was less shock and more.....fascinating. I loved the scene at the end involving Jackson and Willis, where Jackson reveals he had been bombing planes and such to find his opposite (willis)....That was brilliantly done.

fujimi7su 07-26-2004 02:09 PM

Signs wasnt scary at all IMO

i know only one person who jumped in that movie

i own the movie, watched a few time... its not really scary, its suspenseful.. but not in a jumpy way

not bad, (worth 3.50 to rent/copy)

Maplegyver 07-26-2004 09:50 PM
