What are your beliefs and morals on death?
What do you believe happens when you die, and how is your funeral going to be?
Try to be as serious as possible, and try even harder to be open-minded. I'll post my outlook on death later. |

Regret is the worst feeling one can have awareness of - the sum of your energy should be invested in this life and not held back for something like a chance to live again. Now is your moment: determine how to best experience your existence and consciously enjoy Being in all its glory; from one awareness to the last... |
your soul is controlled by satan. nah you just die like everything else. humans are no exception to millipedes or ants. dont know how people can read a book and believe otherwise sleeping:
|
I think when you die, if you led a good life and did the best you could with what you were given, you will met god and live in heaven. This doesnt mean you cant sin at all. Just be the best person you can be. No one is perfect. Do the best you can and you will meet god in the end. If you intentionally do evil you will not be with god and you will suffer. This doesnt mean hell but your soul will suffer in some way.
|
I beleive something happens when you die, that its not just unconsciousness, im not saying its the classic heaven white tunnel and angels, just somethin.

Well, that just takes the fun out of life, now doesn't it? |
after you die, your general imagination of what heaven is like takes form. Its like a never ending dream but its either happy (if you're a good person) or sad/evil (if you've lived your life with much sin and gluttony etc.). There might not be horned devils and angels with wings but your behavior in life will effect what happens to you in death.
|
I dont know. Ill see when i see, wont I? I believe in God. But im not sure if theres a heaven or a hell or if its just a metaphor for if you live a good life, you get rewarded. and vice versa.
As for my funeral, i want to be in one of the old school coffins they used back in the western days |
Personally I see no purpose in living to prepare for death.
I agree with Solidus, enjoy the short time you have and make the most of your time here. Regardless of whether heavens gates or eternal darkness wait for you, the only thing you will leave here is your legacy. Live a just and honorable life and take every day as if it would be the last. |

i think when you finally draw your last breath and close your eyelids, you open them right after almost as if you blinked. but you are comming out of the womb and being reborn as a baby seeing the world for the first time, in that second long blink, you forget 99.9% of what you knew in your past life. i say the 99.9% because in the rare instances, when kids reach their second year of life, they sometimes (very rare) they talk and act like they're someone else, i forget the term, but its like relivivng past life experiences. the other idea i have besides reincarnation is death is only the beguinning of something else, the next step in a way, to what? i dunno, but that's what i think. i don't think theirs any pearly gates or anything nor is their any 'limbo' to wait in. but for some reason, i do think bad people do go somewhere. not quite like hell, but somewhere..

Heaven, Hell, pergatory (for people to wait out to be cleansed from their sins), limbo (for the unbaptized babies).
I've always asked myself though, "What happens to the people in Africa, for example, that don't even know about Christianity? Would they ever make it into heaven?" |

i think you become reincarnated (sp?) as someone or something.

I'll haunt you after I die and tell you the scoop on the whole deal.

I think we're already dead. The "reality" we're all experiencing right now is Hell. hellfire:

...or at least purgatory. hellfire:

after your death is exactly the same as before your birth

After you die your soul returns the Summerland where it rests until it is time for you to be reincarnated. Whether you worship the God and Goddess or not, if you've been a good person you are allowed into Summerland to eventually be reborn.

Damn Pagan! The Builder will smite thee with his mighty hammer! biggrin:

If I'm not mistaken... that book of whoch you speak is Dante's Inferno. It's all about a happy little tour of Hell.

Yea i think your right. I remember now one of the worst things you could do was be a traitor. i think that was either the last or second to last level. |
never ending blackness, void, you no longer exist. Eternal silence. Now I ask... What is so bad about death ?
Ill tell you things tht are worse. Dis-Honor for one. |
Purgatory Repenting Believers
Level 1 - Limbo Virtuous Non-Believers Level 2 Lustful Level 3 Gluttonous Level 4 Prodigal and Avaricious Level 5 Wrathful and Gloomy Level 6 - The City of Dis Heretics Level 7 Violent Level 8- the Malebolge Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers Level 9 - Cocytus Treacherous http://www.4degreez.com/misc/dante-inferno-test.mv |
Im going to the fifth level apparently.
Fifth Level of Hell -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The river Styx runs through this level of Hell, and in it are punished the wrathful and the gloomy. The former are forever lashing out at each other in anger, furious and naked, tearing each other piecemeal with their teeth. The latter are gurgling in the black mud, slothful and sullen, withdrawn from the world. Their lamentations bubble to the surface as they try to repeat a doleful hymn, though with unbroken words they cannot say it. Because you lived a cruel, vindictive and hateful life, you meet your fate in the Styx. |
