^looks like ass, no offense

its also best to use a pic with edges that wont give too much contrast to the background, that bald white head is an example of a much tougher shape to cut out

wtf, why is the text like that?

Bean 2 08-20-2004 11:52 AM

When you typed the text do you have it set on sharp?

Jotun 08-20-2004 11:53 AM

[quote="Bean 2":0853f]When you typed the text do you have it set on sharp?[/quote:0853f]
yes

HeadUp 08-20-2004 02:15 PM

give the whole thing a 1px black stroke
also, check what matte the setting is when you save it, i forget which one you want it to be but sometimes itll make the gif look bad

Fireal 08-20-2004 03:18 PM

Use the non-cutout version. I would make the background something other then white though.

.png is bettuh

fuck IE users

keep trying jotun

Jotun 08-20-2004 05:27 PM

i use firefox.

fujimi7su 08-20-2004 05:29 PM

.png can be transparent, but IE doesnt show them as such, only some other browsers do

try saving in PNG to clean up some white fuzz, also improves image quality.

You do know how much more people use IE than firefox?

annoy:

Guess IE isnt quite nerdy enough yet again.

fujimi7su 08-20-2004 05:39 PM

ive been w/ mozilla since near the beginning... i love it, tabbed browsing rules

ive seen wayyy too many people fuk internet explorer..... to even bother....

and meh... i really dont care what my sigs look like to others, the_finger:

HeadUp 08-20-2004 06:07 PM

i think that one with the white bg was the best one

you generally dont want to use a pic thats cut off at one of the ends you want to be "popping-out" (the top or sides, unless youre using a border)
