3 maps to test...
 
But no place to host the files... (110 meg).

These are my HITP2 maps, just the maps; they won't have any of the HITP2 weapons, play modes, skins, etc. But, I need somebody to test them with me. They still need some tweaking, but they really need to be play tested first. The maps are:

CTF and KOTH will be available for these maps in the full HITP2 release, but I can't use them for open testing. If somebody wants to make a CTF or KOTH script that uses all stock MOHAA stuff, that would be OK, though.

After HITP2 is done, I'm working on fixing an Egypt map for a friend. Then I'm going to be working on "History of Weapons" mod with Mayhem DM, for MOHPA or RTCW:ET. But the full release of HITP2 will contain all the jungle textures, models and prefabs we created, and the VietNam mod team is welcome to use them.

My performance testing system is an Athlon 1100 with a GF3/Ti500, at 1024 x 768 with most graphic options on high, so it's not exactly state of the art. I figure if I my maps perform OK on this sytem, they ought to work on most systems. I also tested them on an Athlon 64/3400+ with GFX 5900 Ultra XT. They work OK there, too.

All of those guns in Corregidor eat up major fps, so I had to limit detail and foliage.

There have been 3 or 4 VietNam mods started that I've helped with textures, prefabs or terrain. If I missed yours, I apologize; I'm very bad at keeping people's names and mods straight (old age is hell). If you need some help with things, let me know. I'll offer you one big tip for starters. You can't use LOD terrain to create large open maps with lots of foliage. Perfomance is just plain awful.

My apologies for the delay in getting these maps uploaded for testing. I discovered my depiction of Battery Geary was not accurate. It was entirely covered in dirt and had steel spotter towers behind it. I found a book that shows it as it really was. There's always lots of metal missing from most images you see because Japan always salvaged all the metal they could get and sent it back home.

I've also cleaned up the texture file (it's now only 40 meg) and have to go into the other maps to see what textures I clobbered.

All files are uploaded and ready to test. I stripped out a lot of extras and got it down to 50 meg total. I'm looking for about 8 - 12 people to test these maps. PM me if you are interested. They won't be available to the general public (with all the bells and whistles until HITP2 is released).
