Need help.
 

Ok so there is no reason to flame here. I understand lots of you will anyways but w/e. I got my computer working on my schools network and I can go online obviously if im on this site. however when I try to join a game, or game serve host like ASE or GS or the such I cant connect. Im in desperate need of help because my life is boring at this moment and I need something to kill time. Anyone know what the hell could be wrong? oh ya. I do have a firewall but it wont fucking work so that isnt a problem.

At our school here, we have a firewall in place along with a device that throttles the bandwidth to certain applications like the file sharing programs. The reason we do that is so our cost to use that amount of bandwidth isn't so great. I think we have only a 10k pipe available for filesharing programs. That gets divided between all the people trying to use them type of applications. So if 10 people are using programs like that they will all get only 1 k of download speed. We have 0 bytes being used for games. Sucks actually......

College......it's a small Tech College, so we don't have dorms or anything.

No people either have apartments or houses theye live in. We have another college in town that does have dorms. I think students can stayt there if they want, but not sure on that.
