Well this is all I can afford at the moment but hopefully it'll do the job nicely, haven't had a new PC in like 5 years... # 400Watt Black Zorro Case # Intel Pentium 4 3Ghz 800fsb 1mg Cache Retail Processor # Asus P4S800-MX Motherboard # 120Gb Hard Drive # 512Mb DDR400 PC3200 Ram # SIS Real 256E Integrated Graphics # ADI AD1888 SoundMAX 6-channel CODEC Integrated Sound (S/PDIF out interface) # DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive # Floppy Drive # 10/100 Mbps LAN Network Port (Broadband & Network ready) # Serial Port # 6 x USB2.0 Ports # 2 x PS/2 Ports # VGA, Audio I/O Ports # Printer Port # 12 Months RTB Warranty As long as it has the Printer Port and the Floppy, who cares cool: The graphics will obviously be updated as soon as I can but will have to put up with a Geforcefx5200 for the moment. Do any of you dudes/dudettes plan on upgrading soon or have you already stuck your screw drivers into some floppys 8==D POST YOUR PLANNED UPGRADES |

2 things im thinking of are a tft monitor and maybe a 3.2 prescott which should hit 4ghz pretty easily. Im set for hl2 and pacific assault, they'll run with no problem. Next real upgrade will probably be june enxt year or around that.

Depends on the chip ram timings etc, my 2.8 i can get 3.6 out of. You'd probably get around 3.4 or more out of it without any real messing with it.

Sounds fucking great to me, unless you're an uber nerd, that's all you need. I think if you doubled your ram it would be a crazy mo-fuggin' system.
|
I just built a whole new system:
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.4ghz ASUS A8V Radeon Sapphire X800 256mb 1gig Kingston DDR dual channel SB Audigy ZS Logitech 6.1 x620 speakers Antec 1000amg case 320W Antec PSU Western Digital 120gb SATA drive LG 12X DVD burner Panasonic Floppy Drive rock: cost = a lot |
I'll be upgrading to:
A64 s939 3200+ 90nm (overclocks insanely high + stock performs like 3400+ .13m) DFI's new s939 mobo whenever it's out. Maxtor 300GB 7200rpm w/ 16MB cache SATA Fortron 530W PSU Thermalright XP-90 w/ 92mm Panaflo M1A Plus current 6800GT @ 421/1100 (hopefully will oc higher when I get a real PSU) and 1gb of Corsair XMS PC3200C2. |

I've had this P4 2.53ghz pc for the past 2 years and I plan on using it for the next 2 biggrin: Only thing I see myself upgrading is the gfx card, my current (g4orce mx440 128mb) is good with MoH:AA and CoD but will have trouble with some of these new games. |
