Wesley Clark for 2008!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wesley_Clark

He is the only potential candidate for 2008, who had a long military career as a general.

[quote:05ba4]Wesley Kanne Clark, KBE, (born December 23, 1944) is a retired four-star general in the U.S. Army. As the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO from 1997 to 2000, Clark commanded Operation Allied Force in the Kosovo conflict. Before this, he had a distinguished career in the Army and the Department of Defense. Clark received many military decorations over the course of his career. He was a candidate for the Democratic Party presidential nomination in 2004, but withdrew on February 11 after winning only the state of Oklahoma. Clark is reportedly being considered for Secretary of Defense if John Kerry wins in the 2004 presidential election.[/quote:05ba4]

Old Reliable 11-03-2004 01:15 AM

i voted for him in the primary but found out later he's not a hardcore liberal...thats an X in my book

Arkan 11-03-2004 07:35 AM

On the surface he looks like a good candidate. We would have to know more details.

Funny that you mentioned '08 'cause i was thinking who would be running since it'll be an open field. Hey, even i was thinking of throwing in my hat !!

Arkan for Prez in '08......kinda has a nice ring to it !!

Does anybody think that if Kerry doesn't win Hilary Clinton would run? I think that would be interesting to see a female President in my lifetime. She'd probably win.. so who knows.

Please !! Didn't we have enough of the Clintons?? She's over here in NY spewing her liberal shit....i'm so tired of her.
I say Guliani for Prez.

Chronic Diarrhea 11-03-2004 08:32 AM

Hilary would stand little chance to win in '08, and that seems to be the likely candidate to win in the primaries in 4 years.

Republican names include Rudi Giuliani, Bill Frist (Senate Majority Leader), and Dennis Hastert (Speaker of the House).

Old Reliable 11-03-2004 12:51 PM

giuliani, oh fuck no. back to the social issues and blind votes for 2008? america needs to smarten the fuck up. hopefully another terrorist attack will do that

Yeah, why don't you explain to the group how much worse Bush has made your life.

ninty 11-03-2004 01:43 PM

I can see Hillary Clinton running in 08 and winning. That is if she wants to. I think she was asked this time around and she said no. And if you think Clark would be a good president then you = stupid:

Why does a candidate need a long military career? Are you looking for a police state or something?

Its not that hes making my life worse, hes making stupid decisions that are making our country worse. Im not saying Kerry is the best man for the job but hes certainly better then this fucktard. Hey i got an idea, lets send our military to fight a war that doesnt need to be fought and divert troops from where they actually should be and invade a whole other country YIPPIE!!! Get your guns boys, were America and we can do what we want cause we say so and if you dont listen to us well either raise your tariff so high no one will buy ur shit, shut you off completely, or maybe well just invade your country. Thats the American way right there. Buy a huge SUV stock it will food and weapons and kill things. WOOHOO! Now go fuck off you. Wait 10 more years and see how bad it will be. The food youll be eating will be infested with pesticides, DDT's, and other shit you dont want, all your clothes will be made in a sweat shop somewhere, everyone will hate us even more then they do now, and well be driving our SUVs getting fatter and more arrogant destroying the world. Thats the American dream right there boys. Now go fuck off.

Chappy 11-03-2004 02:57 PM

its one thing to say we need to smarten up but its something entirely different to hope that someone flying planes into buildings again will make that happen

By voting in Bush again, you're basically asking for it.

Chappy 11-03-2004 03:18 PM

to think that terrorism would have stopped if bush had been defeated is pretty naive

lets say Kerry had been elected and another attack happened...who's fault? Bush? Kerry?

Kerry probably would of stopped interfering in their shit. At least if Kerry won, he would of had a chance to prove me right or wrong. With Bush, we already know hes a fuck up.

the first attack happened after 8 years of the guy before bush so why did it happen? not because bush was "interfering in their shit"

if canada is attacked the way the u.s. was, who's fault is it?

why not try and blame the people who are actually responsible for the acts of terrorism? then realize that terrorism isn't going to stop and it doesnt make the slightest bit of difference who occupies the highest seat of power in any country.

Fine i blame Bush for invading Iraq. I have never had one reason how WTC and Bombing Iraq ins't both terrorism. Bin LAden attacked USA with no UN support to take out an evil leader and system they believed to be evil. And Bush did the same.

We just think Bush's opinions are always right.

One minute US forces are invading afghanistan - because of Asama Bin Ladan + Alqieda (however the fuck u spell it) due to september 11 (whcih is fair enough) the next minute hes invading Iraq - to take saddam hussain out of power - but he wasnt even linked to 911. shouldnt teh US forces be using ALL of its resourses onto finding Asama and his network, instead of fighting a completely different war and invading a completely different country?

Yes Saddam was taken out of power - but isnt the MAIN terrorist still alive and kicking (the person who is the biggest threat to us) - Asama.

Please correct me if some of my facts are wrong. beer:
