Okay here is what i use as a blood mod for complete realism. U have to use the SPR Puff mod, which makes smoke when u hit someone. PLUS, u have to have a blood mod. Net effect: a gunshot results in grey normal smoke, like in SPR (not red smoke :P) AND a blood platter on ground, plus a blood squirt emitted from the victim when he is shot. Using the two mods is the only way to go!!!!

I've been doin that since the puff came out! I thought everyone was using both. Hmm. I would like to find one that doesn't show so much blood on the ground or maybe none on the ground.

This is the version i use: MOHAA_BloodPatch. Remember, you use this patch PLUS the SPRbodyhitpuff mod. Now go get em!

Whenever I try to use the puff mod along with a blood mod, it only uses one of the two. How do you get it to use both mods?

the blood mod i am using completely replaces the original Pak6.pk3. as a result, i also can use the SPRbodyhitpuff mod. i'm still trying to find where i got this blood mod from...

Yea yea, that's what I did. I used one to replace the Pak6.pk3 and then added the puff mod.

I got 3 bloodpatches, but none have a pak6.pak.

Got the one from godjoey's site.
Got Ceskins Blood and Guts Mod v1.1
And got BLOODPATCH v1.0 FOR FULL VERSION MOHAA
BY MANGE (which is what I've been using -mangebloodmed.pk3)

Musicman, I winzipped the blood mod into the main folder and it's not working. I'm on Omaha and I don't see any blood when the allied soldiers are getting killed. I have the 1.10 patch and your blood mod. What do I do?

Also, in the Omaha level, since installing the patch/blood mod, the boats where the soldiers get to the beach in are floating in the air after the soldiers have landed. They are flying in the air toward the bunkers. How do I fix this? Someone please help!

Blood mods will not work in the Omaha level unless YOU shoot your own guys on the beach. It probably has something to do with how the friendly AI on the beach works, i mean, the computer just probably progams each soldier to LOOK LIKE he's getting hit, when he's not really getting hit by real enemy fire. That explains why when YOU shoot your own guys, the blood mod works.

A piece of advice... Never name any user mods pak6.pk3 or similar.

They are reserved for 2015 and their official patch releases.

Rename it Blood.pk3 or something.

ydiss, I renamed the blood mod from pak6.pk3 to blood.pk3. Is that ok? Also, will this patch interfere anything with Patch 1.10? I didn't check yet, but will renaming it fix the boats that carry the soldiers from flying in the air after landing?

You won't see the blood while you're on the beach or water. Go back to another level and check it out!
You'll bleed yourself too!
As far as the flying boats. I never had that problem. Plus I use a Voodoo 5500 card and I have no problem playing the game either. Everything works right except the intro movie. If I use Wicked GL, everything works, but the windows will mess up.

let me re-iterate: just simply d/l the MOHAA_BloodPatch and unzip it to your main, then d/l the SPRbodyhitpuff and unzip it to yer main.... that's all!!!!!! nothing more!!!!

If anyone send me a file named pk6.pk3, it will be deleted right away and will never make it to our mod archives.

I would suggest you guys to consider a simple fact, that the game is indeed created by 2015 and we should maybe, just maybe follow their programmer's rule (or suggestion, whatever you make of it) to make life easlier for the modders, the developers and the users?

Hey Patton, if u don't use the SPRbodyhitpuffmod alongside the blood mod, u don't get the puff of smoke when a german gets hit, u just get blood, and i think that BOTH the blood and smoke are very cool

OK, well, I had an adverse affect from having it named pak6.pk3.. Since noone else here mentioned it, I won't either. I, of course, backed up my original pak6.pk3.

So here's my work-around & it works fine the way I have it now. I renamed it to pak7.pk3. Then I also have the sprbodyhitpuff.pk3 & they both work fine. If you want to have yours overwrite your original pak6.pk3, go for it.

I just happen to agree with Ydiss in this case. Now meybe it could be any old name & both mods would still work. Mine works how I have it now so I won't change it.

I have both smoke and blood installed from the links put in this thread. I will try them out soon. I'll let you guys know how they work out. I just hope the ships that carry the soldiers don't float into the sky. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/confused.gif

Edit: I tried it out by playing the very first level/mission and there is no blood. What did I do wrong? I d/l the blood patch from the link in this thread. I extracted it using winzip to the main folder. Then I renamed it to blood.pk3. I also extracted the smoke patch to the main folder. I didn't rename that one. Is that the problem? I have installed patch 1.10. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Yep to install just stick the User-whatever.pk3 file into MOHAAmain

To disable, delete User-whatever.pk3 or just rename it to User-whatever.pk3.tmp

Easy huh.
