yes I know. It's like a disease.
I think it goes in stages. I remember a few years back when Band of brothers came out on DVD that christmas I got about 10 war movies and a bunch of books. Now i've moved onto space. I;m currently watching Carl Sagan's Cosmos: which I recommend to anyone interested in space, the universe, where we came from and where were going. It's 7 DVD's and 13 episodes. Made in the late 70's early 80's and is still relevant today. |
i saw something like that in iMax theater. It was the longest most pointless thing because most of it was speculations.
but i am a huge fan of Sci-FI. |
Yea, DaVinci Code is good fiction...
I'm going through Reason and Responsibility: readings in some basic problems of Philosophy. |

Thanks dave; I didn't want to masturbate all week and you really helped me out there. |
Cosmos isn't really speculation. Sagan delivers the facts of the universe in a beautiful way, and yes he does add his own thoughts on things not yet proven, but I respect his opinion very much.
And yeah, if you're not into it, you won't like it. Pretty simple. I know none of my friends would sit through an episode, or i don't even think my friends read. Today I found myself reading my astronomy textbook. My test was on Saturday, and i'm still reading the book. Thats the good thing about life. Find something you like and go with it. |
HA, good deal!

no it wasnt made by Sagan. It was some chessy rip off of his stuff. It said something about a houla houp being proportional to the universe. oOo: oOo:

Recently finished reading "Flyboys". Great book.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They are dying, one by one: wealthy middle-aged women in an exclusive Connecticut suburb. Their murderer remains at large. Nora Chancel, wife of publishing scion Davey Chancel, fears she may be next. After all, her past has branded her a victim. . . . Then Davey tells Nora a surreal story about the Hellfire Club, where, years before, he met an obsessed fan of Chancel House’s most successful book, Night Journey—a book that has a strange history of its own. . . . Suddenly terror engulfs Nora: She must defend herself against fantastic accusations even as a madman lies in wait. And when he springs, Nora will embark on a night journey that will put her fears to rest forever, dead or alive. . . . ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's not bad. Got a little longwinded in the middle scetion of the book, but it's starting to pick up toward the end. |
If I had the time.
