speeding up firefox
 

this is an old tweak that was brought back on another site.

might help some of you guys I noticed a bit of a difference

• 1. Type "about:config" in the adress field.[/*:m:a2b12]
• 2. Set the value of network.http.pipelining to "true".[/*:m:a2b12]
• 3. Set the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to "100".[/*:m:a2b12]
• 4. Set the value of network.http.proxy.pipelining to "true"[/*:m:a2b12]
• 5. Set the value of nglayout.initialpaint.delay to "0"[/*:m:a2b12]

#5 needs to be entered manually. Right click choose "add new entry" and choose "Integer"

wasn't able to find the last two strings. They just aren't there and i have "firefox version 1.0"

#4 should be there but might not be if so add it just like you have to add 5

Ok, did everything. Lets see if i notice anything.

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

"nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

Umm i cant type in the last line/ add it
i try and right click, but when i put my mouse cursor over the new, it doesn't flash the new side menu at all ... is their somewhere i gotta click /

safari is basically firefox for mac. even though you can get firefox for mac. But it is made by mozilla.
