there is child labour in most developing countries... but there are sweatshops all over the US and Canada, usually in the textile industry... often the people are illegal immigrants and are afraid they will be deported if they speak out...

And I'm sure you are Mr. Inspector that searches every single building In the United States to make sure there are no sweatshops. OPEN YOUR EYES, it happens everywhere. My dad used to work for Toronto Hydro and one time he had to go pull the power on a building. To his amazement when he walked in it was a sweatshop.

sweatshop doesn't imply child-labour, it implies poor woking conditions and unfair wages... although there is little to no child labour in North America, there are many adults working in sweatshops...
