you've got 2 P4's that you don't use anymore? crazy
|
Gerv, where do you get them oney for this?
|
The p4's one is my brothers old p4, the 2.4ghz. Mine is the 2.8c, i replaced it recently so its semi retired unless i build another system. biggrin:
All that stuffs over like 6 years of pc useage or more, i didn't include the 10 or so psu's i have laying around or the shitload of ide cables. As for where do i get the money, i just keep some aside till i can get what i want happy: Actually had to ad shit to my current motherboard to stop the temperature in the pwm system getting too high, slapped some heatsinks on the pwm chip. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/gerald.mar ... /sinks.jpg |

Wouldn't get a lot for most of it with the exception of the p4's. |

Gerv...if it wasn't for you living in "Irish land", i would purchase that 2.8 from you. Don't feel like taking chances with shipping overseas.
|
International shipping is pretty dodgy, ive sent stuff and its either disappeared or shown up months later. And thats with a "guaranteed in 5 days" service annoy:

Just add a low rpm 120mm or 92mm over your socket with rubber bands and twist ties. That will get your PWM temps way down.
What temps are you getting on that pressy while running super pi? |
Quote:
Running superpi its around 53c or so. Not as warm as i expected at 4ghz, people say the chip runs warm, to me its just the pwm components run warm, chips only a little hotter than the northwoods. |
Nice, my A64 runs 50c at load on air... No bad for a pressy at all. BTW, you beat me.

Considering im running 1300 intelhertz ( biggrin: ) faster there wasn't really too much in it.
