PKM 1 Possums 0

only in freakin texas. seems a possum found it's way into my back yard. called animal control who informed me they only pick up animals that are 'contained' (wtf do my tax payed 'stick with loop on the end' get used for ?!) so i donned my armor and bravely went out to meet the beast. i have dispatched the ogre into a rubbermaid box w/lid. i have done well. mead for all my men.

[img]http://letatas.club.fr/Azay2000/Paroles/M/ministrelssongs.jpg[/img]

jeezuz those things make a mean hiss when they're pissed. i had to change my armor twice.
sing praises of my heroic exploit now.

Mr.Buttocks 03-15-2005 08:32 AM

Did you harm it in any way?

bukdez 03-15-2005 08:33 AM

way to go!... i had a vicioious looking possum hanging about the back of my house a couple of years ago, they have like a million teeth... you must be very brave...

Miscguy 03-15-2005 08:43 AM

And here i was hoping it was a PKM

buttocks. he climbed up my fence, sat there and i nudged him into one of those big 25 gallon rubbermaid 'boxes' and then just put the lid on it with an airhole cut out (i'll just have to eat the 9.00 i paid for the box) the guy from animal control just picked it up and for your relief..he's going to release it in the wild (ie. he'll go about two blocks and then release it, he looked shady and shiftless)

i rule the animal kingdom goddammit.

Pyro 03-15-2005 08:52 AM

what does having kids have to do with solving two problems...the possum is gone from your hands...and pissing off some guy accross town who you don't like.

dork.........if he made it once in the backyard; he'll make it twice. having kids makes you a little protective of the rest of the world, including other people's annoying kids.

You live in texas, go to the northeast and try your "animal" skills. They just look at you as food and youll need a new pair of pants. Face it, you aint got shit on a new englander

Fine you live in philly. but im still more petrified of any animal id encounter than some guy who wants my money. That says something for what we have here for beasts. Hell we have mosquitos that are bigger than texan oppossums. If you ask me id rather step on a rattler than piss off anything of the like around here

Borrow one of those remote mines from James Bond and make sure you blow it to pieces if it ever makes its way back.

Sgt>Stackem 03-15-2005 09:14 AM

if it was during the day there is a good chance its rabid. Id get rid of it for good. (yes that means killing it, sorry tree huggers) You have kids to worry about, possums are nocturnal animals and to see one out during the day is a red flag that something is wrong.

Dragonwraith 03-15-2005 09:18 AM

right on the NH border and a wooded area, we have raccoons and a few medium sized wild cats

pfffft to your little possum

Sniper101 03-15-2005 09:36 AM

Backwoods of nowhere New Hampshire. We have things that make your oppossum look like an appetizer. BTW

Doesnt always mean theyre rabid, specially in an area like texas. They could be finding a place to bed down for the day or we flushed out of somewhere by a dog. Around, theyd be rabid. too much woods for them to be looking for a shed to bed down for the day. Look up Hydrophodia zoonosis

Innoxx 03-15-2005 09:52 AM

I'd rather deal with an oppossum than the wildlife up here where I live.

philadelphia killing mach 03-15-2005 09:58 AM

i still own the animal kingdom............i'm gonna go f*** my wife and complete the circle.

I dont quite understand your post????? First I didnt say it was rabid I said there is a good chance it is. Possums dont go out in the day, it is possible a dog or something did scare it out of its bed. They dont need woods either, they go to where the food is. Unkept trash and messy people are a critters favorite. I tried to look up your word but all I got was a definition of rabbies. If there was even the slightest chance a rabid animal was near my kids Id do something about it. We have plenty of woods here too, more than most states. We have plenty of critters too. For the most part these animals are pests. They are over-populated and need to be dealt with. The reason they have rabies is just that, they are over populated and its mother natures way of dealing with it.

Natural disasters are the easy way out, floods, meteors, hurricanes... meh... have some balls mother nature and give us a good ol' fashioned epidemic disease or something. You gave us a good run with your bubonic plague and AIDS, but I'm gonna need a little more effort this millenium, lets keep it interesting.

philadelphia killing mach 03-15-2005 10:52 AM

what no one has quoted the lyrics to possum kingdom yet ? figured that was a gimmie. you guys are getting slow.

bukdez 03-15-2005 10:58 AM

find: "carve that possum" by dave macon and the juice jar band... they make possum stew or preserves or something, according to the song it is quite tastey...
