Dolphins seem to be interested in Ronnie Brown, RB from Auburn.

I hope Doug Flutie comes back to the CFL. Training camp is less than a month away! I can't wait! As for the NFL draft, don't draft Jesse Lumsden so we can draft him.

Might not be Hockey next year either. And i'll tell you what, if there isnt, i dont know if hockey will EVER recover.

Who the fuck would watch the Pistons?
Get their fans to do the fighting for them because they PUSSIES. I hope the Suns or Mavs win it all and Detriot loses in the first round. Baseball is on as well. |

Any person on the Detroit Pistons could kick your ass. The Suns don't stand a chance unless they score 150 a game or actually start playing better defense. Baseball is boring as hell to watch.... |
Quote:
Obviouslly. The Suns sure did a shitty job this season to warrant that much underestimating. Baseball owns. |
Anyways, back on topic. Pretty sure Alex Smith is going 1st overall to San Fran but that has some time to change.
Dolphins wise I see them going QB or RB. I heard in March or something that Nick Saban was trying to get Ricky Williams back, but I'm pretty sure that fell through. |

Hello, welcome to the NFL Draft thread. If you're interested in talking about Baseball or Basketball, make another thread please. Thanks.

Good samaritan to the rescue!
No need to worry about the draft...in a couple years tne giants will have their own dynasty. |
They need a couple good defensive backs and WRs first. Maybe some OL help too. I agree though, the Giants can be a very decent team in a few years.
Edit: If anyone was curious ... http://nfl.com/draft/story/8406577 |
FUCK, Dolphins traded CB Patrick Surtain to the Chiefs for a lousy 2nd round draft pick. 25 Interceptions in 3 years, leading all NFL Cornerbacks.
|
Quote:
In other words, I don't see Miami having a problem replacing Surtain, even though those are big shoes to fill. |
Three Dumbest One-Sided Trades So Far:
Raiders - Texans: CB Buchanon goes for a 2nd Round Pick Vikings - Raiders: WR Moss goes for 1st Round Pick and MLB Harris Dolphins - Chiefs: CB Surtain goes for a 2nd Round Pick I would honestly flip out if my team gave away a Pro-Bowl player for practically nothing. But as long as my team (Cowboys) keeps signing immovable (Testeverde and Bledsoe) and baseball-playing (Carter, Hutchinson, Henson) QB's, I will always be mad. Hopefully, Dallas will redeem themselves by drafting Derrick Johnson over Merriman and Ware with the 11th pick. |

GTFO pyro you were the one jizzing about how sweet the Raptors were this year and so much better than the pistons then they finished 33-49 and the 8th worst team in the league.

Tony, when you posted that, I nearly punched a whole through the wall. Surtain is worth much much more than that. God damn horseshit. |

Vikings needed to get that guy off there hands. He brought the team down what kind of player walks off the field during the game cause he thinks they are going to lose? He's been fined plenty of times etc. And it was a smart move cause you dont mold your team around a WR, they need to mold the team around there QB or something else. |

he maybe a bad teammate , but randy moss has some serious skills . look what he did to green bay and he was playing on one leg .. whats that smell ?? thats al harris getting burned by someone that couldnt even walk . i would hope the dolphins would take a QB since jay fielder looks like a mouse and A.J. freely just plain sucks , as for basketball i watch it anymore , just a bunch of wannabe thugs playing the sport these days , basketball died when the BULLS got split up . i would have loved to see the great bulls teams play shaq and kobe's laker teams |

its not that at all, I am just coming back to baseball after the strike nonsense and as for the Lions they suck, I have been in Detroit for 42 years and they have sucked the entire time. They suck so bad I became a Bears fan! Been pulling for Da Bears for about 20 years now |

Somebody on ESPN was talking about Mike Williams being the best player in the draft this year. The Vikings wer counting on getting him but he did so well in the Combine, he's probably going to go higher than Minnesota's pick. As for the Smith/Rodgers comparison, Smith has a much better chance of succeeding in the NFL. I don't see Rodgers as being an impact player in the NFL, and I would pass him over for somebody else. You can tell who's got the NFL skills in college and who doesn't, even if they are great in college. I'd be suprised if Jason White (Oklahoma) ever does well in the NFL, and he was a Heisman runner-up this past year. I'm sure San Francisco is crying right now, because they were really hoping on getting Leinart, who's miles ahead of Smith or Rodgers. |
Or maybe Mike Williams will go to the Vikings after all, since he's still open. Minnesota would be dumb not to pick him.
**EDIT** Well the Vikings are dumb** Draft order so far: 1 San Francisco Alex Smith (Utah) - QB 2 Miami Ronnie Brown (Auburn) - RB 3 Cleveland Braylon Edwards (Michigan) - WR 4 Chicago Cedric Benson (Texas) - RB 5 Tampa Bay Carnell "Cadillac" Williams (Auburn) - RB 6 Tennessee Adam "Pacman" Jones (West Virginia) - CB 7 Minnesota Troy Williamson (South Carolina) - WR |
Lions now have the best 3 WR combo in the NFL...No excuses for Joey Harrington this year. Im a huge Harrington supporter but If he cant throw to them we need someone who can.
|
Yep, it's been a while since one team has had 3 Pro Bowlers or future Pro-Bowlers.
Draft Order as of 2:46 EST: 1 San Francisco Alex Smith - QB 2 Miami Ronnie Brown - RB 3 Cleveland Braylon Edwards - WR 4 Chicago Cedric Benson - RB 5 Tampa Bay Carnell Williams - RB 6 Tennessee Adam Jones - CB 7 Minnesota Troy Williamson - WR 8 Arizona Antrel Rolle - CB 9 Washington Carlos Rogers - CB 10 Detroit Mike Williams - WR 11 Dallas Demarcus Ware - DE 12 San Diego Shawne Merriman - OLB |
Im glad Adam Jones got picked to a team that is close to West Virginia. I got to meet him at the game against Temple in 2003.

Harrr.. the Giants! Good one.
Hey PKM - you have ESPNinsider? Philly is right now shopping TO for another team's #1 WR plus a 2nd and 3rd round pick this year. |
huh ?
|
first i've heard of that.
edit: only see the eagles are looking for another receiver to compliment TO not replace him, freddie mitchel is more than likely out, thank god. |
Find someone who subscribes to insider and just got the draft update SMS.
|
i just checked the espn insider site and the eagles homepage. nothing other than him changing his agent. he might try to hold out but i doubt it when it comes to september, possibly training camp. dnabb will talk to him.
