I clicked it, but then suddenly Comeback Kid started playing. It's a sign. A sign meaning... you are a homosexual. ed:

I still remember pretty clearly. THis was back even before the All Falls Down single became a hit. I wish I had a log of everything ever said in IRC..... |

Why you care about my opinions so much is kinda weird....and also, EVEN IF I did say I kinda liked him (which I didn't) It would be totally valid to change my opinion after like two years and an album/single released.... Quote:
Mos Def and Talib become alternative commercial hiphop acts on their own, they don't need help - There are plenty more acts out there he could "help" he just rode their boat to cash in on that alternative scene....and besides - As much as I've always liked Talib & Mos, I have to say their careers in music have gone haywire recently, and I think they're going to shit. Mos is making it as an actor (which is all good), and The New Danger simply sucked. There wasn't one good track on there. Meanwhile Talib's latest stuff is just like Kanye's bullshit in terms of production - Sped up voices singing the hooks to shitty synth beats with maybe one live string instrument.... ....There are far better producers out there with new emcees that are what mos and talib were five years ago, I suggest you expand your tastes and you'll see for yourself - There's more to hiphop than what you get shown on mtv, even if your friends tell you "its underground"... |
I'm the wrong person to go into hip-hop with... I'm almost positive I listen to more stuff than you do, obviously alot more than you think I do. Its hard to know underground US hip-hop when you arent even from here wouldnt ya think oOo: ...not everything makes its way to kazaa. I've been to more shows at first ave and seventh street entry (big midwest underground stops) than I'd like to admit. Beats have genres of their own... and for what kanye produces, hes good at it IMO. With your logic, tribes beats, often made up of strictly sampled hits and a bassline, should be ridiculed aswell...

Check out my playlist: [url:fd4af]http://www.groundforce1.com/staffs/tonymontana/uploads/PLAYLIST3000.html[/url:fd4af] I've been listening to hiphop since as long as I can remember. Seriously...You really don't know shit here clearly. Oh and Tribe's beats were constructed. I've been refering to REMIXED beats. Totally different ballgame. If you were nearly as into hiphop as you claim, you should know that. P.S - Don't pull that domestic-only bullshit. I bet you haven't even been to one hiphop concert in your life.....I've seen some of the greatest acts out of the genre live....De La Soul (Whom I also met), The Roots, Gang Starr, Jazzy Jeff, People Under The Stairs, Blackalicious.....Believe me, living in New Zealand doesn't make me miss out on anything. Still positive you listen to more than me? |
this can be only solved via rap battle.

It's all about finding the most "underground" artists for you, just so you can say that you know them and noone else does. People like you are fucking trendy losers. I like it how the only live acts you've seen are all from the same camp, maybe one or two of them are from a different label....Nice "blend" there. Why did you put De La and Blackalicious in quote marks? ....and what's with the "WTF MATE..."? Quote:

I'm from Minnesota, obviously the concerts I've attended have been mostly from around here on midwest labels... I was kidding when I put them in quotation marks... Who are you to say why I like what I like? why would I listen to stuff I dont like? I dont make other people listen to my stuff, there is no "status" involved, I dont go around advertising what I listen to to everybody, I'll recommend music to people I think might like it aswell, but nothing more. You are taking this waaaay too seriously... its music, its supposed to be enjoyed. PS: My raps are hot, I will continue to post them. (this whole thing has obviously flown right over your head if you post that oOo: ) [quote:85c00]It's all about finding the most "underground" artists for you, just so you can say that you know them and noone else does. People like you are fucking trendy losers.[/quote:85c00] I enjoy my music, I listen to ALOT of stuff, not just underground hip-hop. I have more invested to music and its reproduction than you would imagine. I'm not going to be as arrogant as you by trying to throw this same insult back at you, it just shows your attitude towards hip-hop, it doesnt need "fans" like yourself, I've never met anyone into the same stuff as me act like you, but this is a strange forum with alot of strange people who I would never even think of hanging out with in life, you guys do entertain me though, just aslong as there is lots of cable and miles between us :) Anyways, I wont continue to exchange insults with you, its been fun, sure, but this could go on awhile... and I dont really care about it as much as you do. |
Just don't worry about Tripper, this is the way he is, no reason to argue with someone who is so narcissistic about certain things.
