how the fuk do i brew this shit (hot)... ? i picked up some green tea after reading an article on msn about its health benifits but i have no idea how to brew it ...

should it be clear ish? i just tried and since it was so clear i used two bags and i dont think i liked the way it tasted at all ... i like STRONG coffee but i dunno about tea ...

some of you tea drinking frenchies help me out ...

Boil the water, then pour into a cup, let the bag sit in the cut for a while, stir, and done.

Yes, it should be clear-ish.

You should let the bag rest in the hot water in your mug for a couple of minutes (generally called "steeping"). Then, squeeze the shit out of the bag with a spoon and remove it.

Another good way is to buy a tea steeper and loose tea leaves. Basically, the steeper is a metal ball that you pack with leaves and submerge in the hot water.

I was raised on Tetley Tea, my son. In my veins there's:

- 1/3 Black Horse beer
- 1/3 Tetley Tea
- 1/3 Blood

Heres the perfect tea recipe, according to douglas adams:
1) Boil the water BEFORE adding the tea leaves/tea bag
2) Add the leaves/bag when the water is boilING, rather than boilED, otherwise the tea will merely be insipid.
3) Warm the teapot so that the water won't cool when poured into it.
4) Let stand for 2 or three minutes.
5) Pour it into a cup. If you prefer milk with your tea, put it in the bottom of the cup BEFORE pouring your tea.
6) If you want a slice of lemon, put it in now.
7) Drink

meh, i've drank every type of tea known to man, at least the 7 most basic ones, i usually put the bag before pouring the water, and pour that on the bag

The proper way to drink tea is to boil the kettle, place the tea bag in a tea pot or a bone china cup. Add the boiling water to the tea pot/cup & then add a spot of milk & if you have a sweet tooth some sugar.

You chaps tend to drink that bastardised colonial version of the real stuff, cold & sweet oOo: . It is also very important to sip the tea from the china cup at a 45 degree angle with ones pinkie held out, it's incredibly bad form not to & certainly wouldn't go down too well at a tea party.

Tea should also be included with crumpets or cucumber sandwiches!

I hate the taste of tea. Its disgusting, but with sugar, it suddenly changes dramitcally. Iced tea = rock:

I have a glass of green tea every morning, because there isnt any caffeine in the house besides Diet Coke, which I think tastes horrible along with all soda's, and plus it has all those health benefits which really wouldnt benefit me at all, but are just nice to know when Im glurping it (I never sip...the stuff is too whacky tasting) it down.

the drinks you like dont surprise me... but i always pegged you as a beer drinker...

i drink both teas in bag and loose teas. I prefer a warmed pot (japanese style without the ritual thank you)with loose tea steeping for about 3-5 minutes.

Ive been on a black tea kick as of late (darjeeling, and any indian blend). Earl Grey is delicious (cant get enough of the bergamot). A nice cup of Chamomile before bedtime is relaxing and iced chamomile in the summer with honey in it quinches my thirst.

Brand wise I enjoy the following:

-Twinnings
-Ahmad tea
-Tazo
-Stash (when on budget)

-Yamamoto when I have some bucks. The Kukicha,Pu-erh, and Hojika are heavenly. The Chrysanthemum Tea from Yamamoto is the best Ive had so far....
