A bunch of were bullshitting in IRC about how great this game was to play. I was willing to throw some money in for a server if there is some interest in the community to play. The games free and shitty computer friendly so there is no excuse for you not to have it hellfire:

no, it's a standalone

ET is standalone and completely free. I'd throw $10 a month in but we'd need like 10-12 people per month for it. That or make a paypal account for it and hope we get enough.

you could probably get a 16 slot server for around 60-65 bucks

got it tonight and played a bit. i fuckin suck, but ill still play.

It takes a lot of practice. A lot of noobs grab a panzerfaust and start blasting but that's not the best thing to do. I suggest starting out with a medic. You can follow people around and toss out health kits and revive them when they die.

I purchased 16 man server, I am just waiting for comformation from the company. I'll upgrade to a 24 if the interest is still there and such. Just for shits and giggles i'll probably upload Shrub, double jump, and Save XP for now. As of now I'll be an admin; Doom is another in concideration and whoever seems to show maturity and interest. I'll keep you updated and supposedly i can get a free TS server so get your headsets ready. Also, post if there any maps/mods that you want on it.

In campaign mode you get xp and level with each class you have. Everytime the campaign cycle resets you lose all of your XP and you abilities you gained. With XP save on you keep all the xp and abilities. Its good for the new players to keep there skills they worked hard for.

Not sure what patch its running or if its even live yet. Some one ping it for me and hop around in it if its up. When i get home i'll update it and we'll grind rock:

Updating the server to 2.6 as we speak and creating a TS Server.

I just found ET too arcady, but i'll redownload it later and try it again as i havent been on ET in prolly a year.

My ping isn't much better, but its fairly central (and cheap)

I was just in there, 58 ping for me ran well until the debreif screen at the end of the round and my game froze.

The server might have started uploading the patch. I also have yet to write a mapcycle so i'm sure it just dropped because there wasn't another map in queue

I'll play, but i'm leaving in about 10 minutes for the entire weekend, so i'll be on next week.

what is the server?

I'll be home in about 3 hours. Might as well just play stock for now so everyone can get used to it; then, on Saturday when traffic is low an I will update the mods and we can pick and choose what we want.

Chances are I won't be around all evening so I am still looking for volunteers for active admins/referees.

you should get the 6 map rotation thing in, i like that so that it rewards people who have been playing longer....

thats basically what Save XP is for, you can be a 3 star general. Chances are i would reset it periodically so no one is too uberleeeeeet. I plan on having the 6 map and maybe some customs (not in the cycle though).
