yeah, my basement, eventhough im down there about everyday. eh, i guess its a childhood thing.

anyone else scarred of a part of your house?

seeing as how you could easily look through our basement window from the outside (let alone easily opening it in order to get in), my basement is that case.

TGB! House

i live in a condo.

I live in the basement, so I'm afraid of the upstairs...Daddy yells and step-mommy bleeds.

Well seeing as there are only 4 rooms in my apartment... No.

Down in my basement theres a little nook like closet which leads to ANOTHER nook like closet, which has the creepiest door. The door is incredibly skinny, you'd have to go sideways to try to slither through it, and plus, the lights down there take forever to turn on, as there's was also once fungus under the old carpeting (which I removed with my fingernails, which by the end of the day turned almost black) which for some reason just creeps me out, knowing Im stepping on it, even though it really isnt even there anymore.

i stopped being afraid of shit when i was like 8. plus we dont have a basement.

I guess the attic as Ive never been in there and the only way up there is through my closet in my room...

Perhaps the title of the thread should've been "Scariest house you've ever been in". When i was a lil' kid, i used to spend 2 weeks of the summer at my friends house. It was funny because just before they bought the place, the previous owner hung himself in the garage which was attached to the house. I swear at night, you'd hear shit coming from that garage. Damn garage was even scary in daylight!! But, the most chilling part was the attic entrance from inside the garage ceiling. It was simply an square access point with a cover but there was this hook......same hook he used to hang himself from. Kinda scary but intriguing at the same time. We used to dare each other to go in the garage at night alone with nothing but a dull flashlight.....lol.

Damn Im pissed. I just spent 15 minutes typing a long entry about this, and then my internet went and crashed. SUffice it to say that I live in a haunted house. Details and back story when I feel like retyping it.

No one would of read it anyway.

I used to think my house was haunted, but I guess not, even though our basement is wierd as hell - I found a trap-door in that closet I was talking about earlier.

My main heat pump. I'm scared to death that son-of-a-bitch is going to die this summer and then I'll be $6500 lighter. cuss:

Attic .. since the way up/down the attic is through my closet.

But now that I got my own place .. nothing

..probably the area behind my banquet hall, when I pull this candle holder near the
fireplace the whole thing revolves and there's like all these gigantic chambers with all
cobweb-covered skeletons chained to the walls and shit...kinda freaks me out a bit in there.

Hole 12 scares me alot.

my sister used to own a house in jersey city. it was a big house, nice looking, very nice looking. except for the basement. that area looked like you'd keep horrible experiments of terror down there. i went down there one time with my sister and nephew to check something that had to do with the water meter. i was already spooked down there but this didn't help: the walls were made of stone, but looked like bricks. i saw a black fluffy thing on the wall and i thought "oh...wtf is that?" so i got closer and blew some air at it and it twitched. i backed up quick, which is funny cuz i'm 6'3. i pointed it out to my sister and she poked it with something and a bunch of legs sprouted out from it and thats when i knew it was a big ass hair fuckin mutated spider!! i ran outta that basement so damn fast before hitting my head on a pipe on the ceiling and they of course laughed at me lol

there was another time when it was hella late at night, i was in her kitchen fixin myself up a sandwhich. i always thought that house was creepy cuz at night it always made strange sounds. so i turned around with sandwhich on a plate in hand, and i froze up cuz a smaller version of that big hairy mutated killer spider from the basement was hanging there, right infront of my face. i almost dropped my snack in terror (yes, i'm deathly afraid of spiders...) but i calmed down a bit till i saw that it was showing me its fangs in midair hanging from a web. i almost pissed my pants and ran off screaming like a bitch. i didn't know spiders can hang from midair and show their fangs...

Sounds more like a fobia-generated illusion.

oh those 2 incidents happened, they were no illusions. i am scared of spiders though. wish i weren't. eek:

Join the club, i was going in to take a dump at 3am this morning got close to the toilet and see a spider trying to make its way up the wall.. I end up yelling sonovabitch before half stumbling half falling backwards out of the bathroom. Ended up tossing the cat into the bathroom and leaving it in there for a while to deal with the spider, think it ended up climbing out a vent though. cuss:

I used to be afraid of spiders when I was 8 or 9, now I eat them in my sleep, apparently.

Only thing I'm really scared of, is looking over the edge of a high place..like I can climb up there no problem, and I can walk on it, but as soon as I look over the edge, I get this uneasy, sinking feeling in my stomach.

I don't have a basement or an attic - My house isn't scary....Can be a little dodgy at night outside, when I come home paranoid as hell - And can't open the front door with the keypad....But that's only because you can't see shit around you on account of noone in my family ever replacing the security lights.

I have reason to fear it though, just a couple of weeks ago a couple of cops knocked on my door in the middle of the night (I live in a 2 room outhouse "studio" disconnected from the main house), and told me that they had just chased a couple of guys down through our neighbours property into our car-port.....

Now I had a buddies house who, like someone else in this thread posted, had a garage where a previous owner had offed themself in....THAT was an eerie place....He used to tell me about how he and his brothers would hear the floor creaking, like it did when someone was walking on it, and it would get closer to them in their lounge - as if someone was walking towards them - so close that it was unignorable, and then something in the room would ALWAYS move. He told me it had happened several times.

Needless to say, I didn't like staying over there when I was 14/15....

lmao, as I read that I actually envisioned it happening as a movie clip. I got a crystal clear image.

if we talk about critters I'm pretty much cool with all of them exept roaches. When i first moved in there were roaches everywhere, well i had the place fumigated and what not .. it was all good for like 3 months, but than one day i woke up on my bed with something crawling .. i thought it was my gf, till i open my eyes and saw her watching pRon. I saw the roach crawling up my leg and i too scrim sonovabitch and holy mother of god! ... I ended up grabbing it with my hand and launching it accross the room. i than got a shoe and killed it. that night we cleaned the whole room top to bottom. Even though we clean the room till like 3am i still did not go to sleep in my bed, i slept in the sofa

Also, when your sleeping with someone all fears go away .. is like why would someone or something would do anything when theres 2 of us? I bet it goes double if your gay, but i wouldn't know

Also, after a scarry movie ending at 1am and I'm alone in the house .. everything is scary if it makes a sound. Makes me wish i had a saferoom.
