geRV 06-25-2005 08:27 PM

Don't think it'll run on x800's, hdr as far as im aware is a sm:3.0 thing, the x800's support 2.0B.

The eye adjustment effect sounds hawt.

Mr.Buttocks 06-26-2005 09:38 AM

Couldn't you get the same effect by placing a powerful torch on the top of your monitor, turning it on and pointing it straight at your face? eek:

Most likely, hdr seems kind of overrated, its gonna be like the lens flare effect from ps of the video game world.

Poseidon 06-27-2005 05:22 AM

It does look pretty sweet.

Proteus 06-27-2005 08:08 AM

One looks a little darker. That's about it.

Poseidon 06-27-2005 08:28 AM

Look more carefully at the shaddows and how they move depending on the persons position in the left hand screen compared to the right. Basically the lighting is dynamic so it changes depending on your position/ circumstances.

Cool Fool 06-27-2005 02:05 PM

when is this going to be able to be put on hl2

geRV 06-27-2005 02:29 PM

[quote="Cool Fool":e5934]when is this going to be able to be put on hl2[/quote:e5934]

Rumoured to be around july, its integrated into "the lost coast" levels for hl2.

No offense, but if someone has to tell me what to look for, I don't see it enhancing my game play. I understand that they are going for realism, but I'm afraid that eventually my wife's voice will be built into the game telling me to get the fuck off the computer. happy: Some realism, I can do without.
