Ah man, that's nostalgia right thur... you have any idea how great those times were ? The community prior to MOH:AA's release was the best. What times...

What's funny is I used to be a member during those days, but I could never remember what my name was...

I still have the same account! In fact, if you search my posts far enough, you WILL find alliedassault.com posts. Pure gold, I tell ya...

Wasnt around when the place was all fresh, got in quite a while later. Did a search for MoH:AA-skins, found aa.com and then I stayed.

I just came here for skins and mods then lurked the forums for like a year or so.

One of my fave names back then was Crispybunker...oh and that Eight, err, that eight somethin.......

ahh good times good times. Searched for aa maps and came with this. just took me a year to actually join the forums.

Never was on that board, joined a little after mohaa was released after Victor (toni) showed me the site.

I too, have the same acount as I did when I signed up in 2001....I loved that forum's colour scheme the best....Although this current one has very much grown on me.

I came over when aa.co.uk went down (the first time) and didnt bother going back when it got back up again.

I remember one of my first posts being about seeing the muzzle flash from the scope and the developers fixed it ;)

I must've watched those "preview vids" like a million times. You know the video I'm talking about ? The one with the sniper rifle and bridge map that never made it into the game ? Good times.

Im not sure if they did fix the muzzle flash on the scope, im near sure its still in. I know for a fact if you cycle the bolt when scoped in you see the shell ejecting in front of it..which is wrong.

That bridge map did look good, think it was gonna be remagen bridge, benson basically said the map ended up being too big and just off the sides of the preview vid was the edges of the map. :(

First preview i seen of allied assault was in pc gamer december 2000, this site went online not long after. I joined the forums after a couple of months because there was like 3 people on it. oOo:

That database is fucked up, the join dates were ballsed up when the dates were reset, it says arkan joined before i did as well and i dont ever remember seeing him till like mid 2002 at least.

Scroll to the very bottom, video 1, thats the first vid i seen of mohaa and thought it looked so fucking realistic. Musta dloaded that on my 56 gay and watched it about 10 times, back the i was like "wow those graphics will never be beaten".

Shows the pld proning and almost iron sights in the prone, also has the weapons sorta bouncing around a bit more randomly when the character walked instead of them being bolted to the right hand side of the screen.
