Recently lost a friend.

Title says it. He lost his battle with lukemia at age 16. I think im gonna go donate some to a cancer research center. Has anyone else here lost a friend/family member to cancer or any other disease?

TonyMontana 07-05-2005 02:44 PM

sorry to hear that.

my dad's aunt has cancer, she's been going for treatments. it's been getting better though, so i hope everything turns out fine. She lost a couple of siblings to cancer.

tomxtr 07-05-2005 02:46 PM

Sorry to hear that. It's a damn shame when kids are hit with cancer.

I think most people have a friend/relative die of cancer. I once read that if we all live long enough, eventually you'll get cancer of some sort.

My condolences.

Tystnad 07-05-2005 02:48 PM

My condolences (sp?). A good friend of mine lost his sister to leukemia last year. She was just a few years over twenty, if memory serves me right.

Myself, I lost both my aunt and granny on my fathers side to cancer years ago.

Zoner 07-05-2005 02:49 PM

Very sorry to hear that, man. My condolences.

Nyck 07-05-2005 02:50 PM

My condolences.

Makes you really appreciate the gift of life and health while you have it, doesn't it ?

Sorry to hear that, my condolences.

Crazy Canadian 07-05-2005 03:53 PM

I never met my grandpa because he died from cancer, but he was a smoker...

Tripper 07-05-2005 03:59 PM

Cancer fucking sucks - My mothers cousin had it for years, and she lived with us during the end of her life because her family were a bit oOo:

It was a really weird and depressing thing too deal with. She was a really nice lady, and she had been dealing with it so long she started to go a bit crazy before she passed on.

I hate to see it hit such a young age, freaks me out.....

Jin-Roh 07-05-2005 03:59 PM

I'm not sure but I think my older step-sister type thing, died from Leukemia along time ago. This year she would be like 35

Proteus 07-05-2005 04:08 PM

That sucks so young man. Two of my grandparents died from cancer, and my aunt had it and now is allergic to the sun because of her treatment.

butch 07-05-2005 04:17 PM

I lost to cousins that were brothers in the same year to cancer. That was a hell of a thing.

Sad to hear man. I lost an aunt to cancer, she was in her 40s, and like trip she lived with us during her last days, it was really sad watching her waste away physically and mentally, she was a great lady.

anti 07-05-2005 06:03 PM

Sorry to hear Forte, my condolences. My uncle just overcame a battle with cancer, but he's still having a hard time.

Arkan 07-05-2005 06:17 PM

Sorry to hear that. I lost a good friend last year from the same shitty disease.

Merlin122 07-05-2005 09:43 PM

Forte 07-05-2005 10:13 PM

Its ok. We havent talked for over a year. He had to go into intense treatment and I was there to say by to him. Last thing I remember saying to him was ,"When you get better Ill finish taht game of chess with you."

Milla 07-06-2005 12:17 AM

My friends (well i knew him well in HS, havent talked to him since) brother got in a car accident like 2 days ago, and today they took him off life support, and he is now dead. Wrapped his car around a tree drinking and driving, he was like 18. Dont drink and drive guys, its not worth it.

CoMaToSe 07-06-2005 01:58 AM

fuckin A, damn cancers. 1 in 3 people will get it.

yep, 3 years ago a friend of mine got killed by doing stupid stuff like that. He was with his group of volunteer fire-fighters (the young highschoolers) and the one kid named Dan Sheetz took the drivers seat while he was a little tipsy. He crashed and killed his best friend, Shawn Cameron, who was sitting in the passenger seat. He graduated from juvey b/c the parents pressed charges since he was drunk and drove when it wasn't even his car. Sad stuff.

mR.cLeAn 07-06-2005 08:53 AM

EDIT: Just leave it at that, man... --Zone
