Choosing University Courses
Here's the course list -
http://registrar.mcmaster.ca/calendar/y ... ec_688.htm I've chosen 9 out of my 10 classes, but I can't decide on my last one. Nothing else interest me, so i'm asking those that are going through/gone through university; what's a good course to take? I'm enrolled in Humanities 1 I can take any level 1 course (ex. 1B03) I'm already taking Comm. Tech - CMST 1A03 - CMST 1B03 Multimedia - MMEDIA 1A03 - MMEDIA 1B03 Cultural Studies - CSCT 1B03 - CSCT 1BB3 Theater and Film - THTR + FLM 1B03 Philosophy - 1E03 Psychology - 1A06 ######### - ######## Thanks lovelys. |
Don't take cultural studies, psychology, or philosophy. I took American Studies, which was viewing America's culture, and it was the biggest waste of time. Theater and Film sounds interesting, but it could be different from the way my university does those types of classes.

oOo: You might be there to learn somethign for a career but it is also nice to be worldly and not ignorant. I recommend taking your core classes while taking many classes that will improve you as a person. Also try to take a public speaking class. |

Isn't Public Speaking required when you enrollee as a freshman in college?

Philosophy - 1E03
Only if you wish to learn logic and make sense of the world you live in through proper reasoning. If it's introductory, you'll find it a lot more enjoyable since you will touch on all the basic philosophical problems without completely destroying your brain. ;-) Psychology - 1A06 Only if you wish to learn of the underlying mental processes governing your life and the associated problems, abilities and general cognitive theories currently accepted today. If it's an introductory course, you won't work too hard and still learn quite a bit of useful stuff... |
