Fantasy Football
 

A guy I know wants me to join his fantasy football league for this year, but I've never done it before and I don't know how it works. I follow the NFL more than close enough to know which players to draft, but is there more to knowing what kind of players to draft?

Depends on how the league allocates points, I guess. A lot of online FF leagues have the players ranked. If you know something about the players, you should do fine.

Well I know some about the NFL...but not as much as I should to be a big time fantasy guy...and I killed Nyck and shit last year and he thinks hes all knowing king bitch.

FFS look a few posts up I made one like a month ago and its full, Unless they want to compete in a 2nd one I doubt youll find peoples....

I'm 2nd in my baseball league, but i don't like doing them unless the drafts are random.

Well, I've got my rankings set up, although I won't need them because I'll be at the draft. I'm gonna try to grab LaDanian Tomlinson for my first pick, because I think most people in my league are going to be dumb and grab all the quarterbacks in the first round. That way, I can have IMO the best back in the league, and then have several options at QB. Hopefully Kerry Collins will still be open in the 2nd round for me.

Tomlinson was my first pick but he was picked right before me so I took Shaun Alexander. In my opinion, there were no worthy 1st round QBs other than Peyton Manning. Then again, I only thought there were about 3 or so 1st rounder RBs.

every year i get screwed with injuries... and i manage to survive sometimes (except one year when Donovan got injured, and everyone else played terribly)

I had a great year for it last year. I drafted Antonio Gates and well, everyone knows what kind of season he had. That's on top of having McNabb and numerous other great players.

You named two of the backs. Priest Holmes would be the other one, and you're right about Peyton Manning.

The only other runningback I would consider is Edgerrin James. The guy puts up big numbers every year even with Harrison and Peyton in the lineup. He should be getting higher numbers this upcoming year though seeing how Peyton broke the TD record last year and all. I'll also expect Kerry Collins to blow up this year along with Joey Porter having a good year. If Collins can stay healthy and not throw INTS and Moss doesn't go crazy, he'll be just fine. oOo:
