Brainwashing. You're being told who to point the finger at when something gets blown up.
|
Howard is so far up Bushes ass he has no choice but to put out some propaganda. Guess it makes him look somewhat credible.

[quote="[DAS REICH] Blitz":2d36d]why Australia?[/quote:2d36d]
Why not? They're westerners, they sent an army to Iraq and afgahnistan, and their government and PM are in bed with GWB, and the U.S government. Those are perfect "reasons" for islamic extremists to attack. America has been attacked, and so has England, in that logic, Australia really should be next. It's terrible, but very possible. There was a rumour that one of the main london bombers (the guy they have all the photos of) lived in Auckland, as close as the same fucking suburb as me. |

well, they were relieved and said thanks very much, but a few wanted to know what you based your claims of propaganda on. |
personal opinion after reading and researching articles on current world events.
As I understand it, John Howard isn't a very popular man for sending troops to Iraq. General principal is, when you go to war for a flimsy cause, and continue to support the war after the validity of the original cause is null and viod, there needs to be a reason for the war. Enter the propaganda machine. If you don't believe that every government sensationalizes their current position in some way to advance policies, you're diluting yourself. Tell the population that terrorists are around the corner and support goes up for killing muslims. |

why it happened in London then, seeing as the Brits and us have very alike stances on Iraq and terrorism? btw, regardless of what you or I might think of him, Howard is in his 3rd term as pm and way ahead in the polls. |
No, what happened in London, like the US, is more or less state sponsored terrorism. It will probably happen in Australia as well. Islamic militants, or something closer to home?
and [quote:66d9e]The personal approval rating for Australia's Prime Minister, John Howard, has dropped to its lowest level in four years.[/quote:66d9e] http://www.abc.net.au/ra/news/stories/s1406898.htm |
"what happened in London, like the US, is more or less state sponsored terrorism"
..sorry, which state are you saying sponsored the terrorism? "The personal approval rating for Australia's Prime Minister, John Howard, has dropped to its lowest level in four years." ..as I said, he's still ahead in the polls regardless of his current level, because people appear to have even less faith in our current opposition. |
They have vivid details of who and what each member is doing, even the ring leaders.. Yet NO ARRESTS ? They should at the very least have these guys under 24/7 watch. It is not hard to track down suspects and watch them in order to prevent an attack. Prevent it before it happens... watch the islamic suspects...The article gave us enough info to detail out that they could possibly find 1 OF the 60 militants ...

Then where is the threat if your government has not taken any actions to watch over these "militants" they aren't, so in thoery what the 2 of them said is true bubbles. rolleyes:
Maybe it is brainwashing ? propaganda ? rolleyes: If there is a threat... why is so little being done ? |
..how do you know what is and isn't being done?,
because of that story alone?...you fuck-knuckle nag: |
I was at an Australian army base when the London bombings took place... many of the Australians I've talked to support Howard and everything he does, and the Aussies aren't the ones to try and kiss our asses, I've been there long enough to figure that out. If my memory serves me correct one of the Aussie soldiers said something along the lines of "An attack on England is an equivalent to an attack on the commenwealth of Australia".
