WTF is going on here, reboot did nothing, neither did degaussing. Neither did shutting the monitor off. I came home it was fine this afternoon i came home tonight and it looks like this. Except my internet pages look normal, like theres nothing wrong, but my IE toolbar and favorites bars are all fucked up, but pages work normally.

It ain't the monitor? Maybe the comp's hot?

Its not the monitor because my internet pages look normal. I tried diffrent resolutions but its the same, i mean the pages are normal, they look fine. Coud it be the video card?

WTF my limewire screen looks normal too, i bet my comp games look normal too. Let me try one.

Ok minus my desktop and main menu bars everything else works, even my fucking games run normally with no problem. WTF this is ridiculous i mean wtf, why do my games work. Itunes works normally too.

My IE bar is fucked, but pages are fine. Limewire works also, and games, everything but the desktop, taskbar and menus. wtf.

And its not that program, because its not running and i got the original windows xp theme and its still not working.

Should i shut my comp off for the night than fire it back up tomorrow?

Yeah I'm thinking its the video card. I really can't think of anything else.

Try re-installing that program you're using to mod windaz.

I have never seen that before, ever. I hate to say this but try a fresh install of windows.

Do you have Window Blinds or any of those stupid programs that change how everything looks? I've noticed alot of people use them form the desktop thread.. those are notorious for messing things up, uninstall if you do.

I just have style XP, i just disabled it let me try and reboot now

Well disabeling it so it wount even run any resources or boot up or anything still didnt work.....

If i have to reinstall XP im gonna smashing this PC into bits, this will be the second time in 5 months i would of had to reinstall XP. I had a similar thing and it was ok after reseating the vid card. Altho it is also a sign the card may be too hot or on the way out. I dont spose you have an older card you can test with?

A simular problem happened to my mums computer, only the problem would fix upon rebooting. Then the day after that same problem would appear. I she replaced the video card and it worked fine after that.

yeah, they completely screwed my comp over once. never again am i using those things...

I guess its the video card. Let me get new drivers. But if its the card wouldnt my games look like that too?

Well its solved the problem, nothings static looking anymore, but some of my icons are still fucked up, my system tray icon, one or 2 of those is fucked. And when i scroll down webpages it takes forever now.. wtf

Well i got it working normally, i reinstalled the new drivers twice.
