Rising gasoline prices causes death

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9050231/#storyContinued

Maybe its just an isolated incident or warning of things to come. But I guess thats what happens when people are too thick headed and continue buying gas guzzling SUVs.

Bleh, probably it's the heat. oOo:

Simo Häyhä 08-25-2005 10:33 AM

Sgt>Stackem 08-25-2005 11:08 AM

so let me get this straight, you have a thug that kills and steals and its the SUVs fault? Its gas prices fault? Call me a whacko but Id guess its the criminals fault

Simo Häyhä 08-25-2005 11:13 AM

if he was driving a civic im sure he would have laughed at the gas station as he passed it

Unknown_Sniper 08-25-2005 11:22 AM

I drive an SUV, I dont make a shitload of money and I get horrible milage, yet I would never not pay for gas. Chances are the person who did that would have done it in any car and has probably done it a lot in the past.

Pyro 08-25-2005 12:00 PM

Ive driven off (well I wasn't driving) from the gad station once...we had a petro card with like $25 of free gas and we didn't know it was petro only for some reason so we filled up at shell and found out the card was for petro and we were like fuck so we jetted...and ended up filling the tank at petro with the $25 we had on the card.

happy: that's funnae

Himmler 08-25-2005 10:39 PM

how can you not pay? here you have to pay before you pump, or use a credit card.

that blows... usually here you do the gas, then pay (unless you have a certain amount of money to spend, then you would go to the gas guy and he would allocate a certain amount of gas for that amount of money).

In times like this

4 cyl > V8, they use to laugh at my 4 banger, now they all envy...fucking mustang owners.

Madmartagen 08-26-2005 01:03 AM

i dont understand that either, all gas stations over here require payment before pumping. they all take cards, so you pay at the pump.

Sgt>Stackem 08-26-2005 06:13 AM

I wont fill up at a place that makes me pay first, I have no idea how much to give them and I dont want to have to go into the station twice just to get some gas. I also wont fill up where they dont provide a window washing tub.

[DAS REICH] Blitz 08-26-2005 07:12 AM

i won't go to a gas station that doesn't have a sign stating there prices (there are several gas stations where I live that don't tell you the prices until you filled up your car...)

Hawke 08-26-2005 07:33 AM

My dad has been getting free gas for yearssssssss *knock of wood*. He still gets it. He drives a van and plans on getting a SUV. biggrin:

ps he doesnt steal it

Akuma 08-26-2005 09:54 AM

Almost every gas station here makes you pay first or use a CC.

There have been tons of thefts that it would be stupid to have it anyother way.

Hawke 08-26-2005 11:16 AM

I just saw on the news a gas station in Oklahoma has gas for $1.05.

Stammer 08-26-2005 11:53 AM

I hope people see how critical it's becoming to invest in alternative fuels.

That's a smart idea if you think about it, because people will go buy fuel from you for sure, only problem is you'll run out to quickly.

I was just in Oklahoma, they did it to get customers. Some place in Detroit did that too.

Unless you can manage to get taxed free gas or cheap as fuck gas, it's stupid.

I know someone who owns a gas station and today they told me after taxes ect it costs about $2.40 per gallon even for them.

Madmartagen 08-26-2005 01:31 PM

there was an arco doing a promo over here about 2 years ago when gas was about $1.60 or something. anyways, they had a sale on gas where it was $1.25 or even $1 a gallon for this one week. some reporters picked up on it and aired a report on the local and LA news. i dont even think there were huge lines, but the gas station across the street (mobile or chevron) filed a suit against them to prevent them from selling gas at such a cheap price.

but like i was saying, all gas stations over here take credit cards at the pump. you swipe your card and fill up whatever you want. no need to go inside the station, the pump has a card reader on it.

Himmler 08-26-2005 02:10 PM

like madmartagen said, if your going to use a CC just use it at the pump, no need to go inside. but if you are going to pay cash, you can just go in once, give them 20-30 bucks and it will stop at 30, print out a receipt and you can leave. you dont have to go back in.
