Another "What Are You Reeding Thread"?Nyckiskewl

Im just curious. Not trying to set the record for crap threads, but its nice to have these once in a while

Me:

Big Sur - Jack Kerouac

I havent read a book since June, so I though I should atleast pick this one up while at the library. On the Road was fucking amazing, that book made me cry in a gay brotherly love sense when the two guys departed. I love how nothing really happens in the books, yet it makes that seem like a whole lot b/c its all REAL, not some fiction made up to include a bunch of explosions and beautiful women. And Jack's a coo (cous) guy.

Im gonna try out that Da Vinci Code book next. I never have enough time to read, but Im finding myself with nothing to do a lot on the free weekends, as I've ridden my bike to the mall a bajillion times, and... Im getting carried away I guess. Im glad you just read that paragraph, though. Show's you care.

Post.

I havent read a book(a non-school book) since last summer, which was Citizen Soldiers by Stephen Ambrose(never finished it, prob. will reread it entirely next summer)

Nyck 08-28-2005 09:15 PM

Im reading Angels and Demons. Its sorta the prequel to da vinci code.

I got the da vinci codeand read the 1st chapter and it refers to this book alot. So decided I should read it 1st

Yeah, but I've heard of so many people reading the Davinci code without the prequel, and still understanding the whole lot. Just some references, nothing you absolutely need to know to even turn another page into the book.

Nation Of Islam by Steven Tsuokalas

...if you have any interest in the civil rights movement, mainly in the nation of islam (Farrakahn, Elijah Muhammed, Malcolm X etc) then this book would be a good read for you - really fascinating, ties some loose ends that your history classes probably missed....

Terry Goodkind: Sword of Truth-series.

I just finished "A Signal Shattered" by Eric Nylund, not great, but entertaining non the less.

Now I'm reading "I,Robot" again, cause I saw the shitbox movie and needed to cleanse my system.

After that, I'm getting back into the Discworld Books by Terry Pratchett

And maybe Hitchhikers Guide again, cause I saw the movie on the airplane and need to cleanse my soul of the suckiness.
