September 1st

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES AND
CANADA DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE
SAME
TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS
OF
OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL
COMPANIES.
THEREFORE SEPTEMBER 1st HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP
THEIR
BEHIND " DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THESE TWO NATIONS SHOULD NOT BUY A
SINGLE
DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY.
THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS
MANY
PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.
WAITING ON THE GOVERNMENT TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS
NOT
GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES
THAT
THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?
REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP
BUT AT
THE
SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING
COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON
EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING
MATERIALS,
MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!
WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER
ONE
DAY, WE WILL DO IT
AGAIN AND AGAIN.
SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO
EVERYONE
YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE SEPTEMBER 1ST A DAY THAT THE
CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

Pyro 08-31-2005 12:35 PM

been going around emails.

Art Attack 08-31-2005 12:37 PM

Meh, I saw it and thought i'd post it.

Poseidon 08-31-2005 12:37 PM

haha lol

m00nraker 08-31-2005 12:39 PM

This has be around the net for years, it wont work. It would need to last more like 2 weeks for it to have any affect on prices.

Instead of buying gas that day like most people would, they would just buy it a different day, not affecting anything.

Madmartagen 08-31-2005 12:50 PM

eh whatever, its their gas they can charge whatever they want for it. its our fault we're dependent on someone elses resources. this is capitalism, folks, you dont start nagging at your govt to make gas cheaper cause you dont wanna pay $3 a gallon.

[DAS REICH] Blitz 08-31-2005 12:50 PM

Posted on the radio around here, ppl called in saying it wouldn't affect sh**, so i believe its useless. There going to eventually have to buy gas, so if not today, then tomorrow.

nuff said, people are gonna buy gas no matter how expensive it is because its a necessity. if you get a necessity from a foreign country expect to pay well for it.

The Federal Reserve is not part of the Government.

.gov = government

The federal reserve governors and chairman, Alan Greenspan, are appointed by the president and serve terms. This smells like government to me.

[DAS REICH] Blitz 08-31-2005 02:06 PM

Nyck 08-31-2005 02:09 PM

nein. thats a common misconception in america. but the fed res does have considerable influence, far too much, in congress.

tomxtr 08-31-2005 02:50 PM

Of course they have influence, they are appointed by congress and the president for the purpose of influencing economic conditions to promote a stable economy. happy:

Simo Häyhä 08-31-2005 02:54 PM

the government more or less fully controls the federal reserve, argueing whether it is "part" of the governement is moot.

Funny thing is how everyone was bitching about it being in the $1.80/gallon range a year and a half ago but we'd be happy paying that now.
