it looks awesome, but I hate AOE, I hate teh idea (even though its realistic) os gathering supplies.

I like C&C way better. - build this, then you can build that, and have access to that, blah blah'

I like Cossacks better than AOE, because of the online ranking system and that you can create thousands of troops, not 100 (in AOE 2). We will see how much one can make in AOE3.

yeah, thats what i was thinking, but i wish the map editor was as good as AOE. no walls, no terrain editing (any good editing) and no gaia.

I think the AOE games are better than the C&C games...besides Red alert...that game owned.

Starcraft and Warcraft series > both by far (well besides red alert because that one is ownage)

Well this game combines elements of Role-Playing and Strategy, its actually pretty good. You build a home town (in the demo you can be either Spanish or English civilizations), then you start a colony, explore, gain XP by making alliances, growing your economy, and destroying your enemies. Right now I have a level 4 Home City. Oh and you can have your home city ship out supplies and stuff, real fun :).

It's to bad the last two times I've downloaded it my fucking internet connection died.

First time it got to 54% and then the second time it got to 99%, so I'm not even going to bother.

Meh, it's okay. The animations are nice but the resource gathering needs to be buffed up.

its a nice game, but its just not epic enough. And that takes away from the whole in game experience. However, the home city was a very nice touch, I expect we will be seeing rip offs of it to some extent in many future rts games.

Actaully, the ship combat kicks ass, put the comp on very hard and get into some good ships battles, fire a broadside etc.

I tried AOE2 and RON and I found both to be fun, but lost interest very quickly. Its weird all games just suck now.

Best strategy game ive ever played imho. If they just use that engine, but put it in modern day....that would be a kick ass game. I also found a game called imperial glory quite fun, kinda like Rome TW except in the 1700-1800's.

I tried rome total war but again, soon became bored. I just think il never be impressed bgy a game again any time soon. It feels like I have played everything their is to offer. All these new games are just updates of older games but better looks.

especially ea games.

What angers me about games i shainv to harvest and build shit, i like having the trooops and taking them into battle. IE Shogun total war or Rome total war. WC3 was good though.

got to 88% and my internet shit out for like 2 seconds then came back on like it always does, making it impossible to download anything...wtff

Well at least in this game you don't have to have any drop off sites. So that makes resources gathering 100% times easier than previous AOE games. So that leaves more micro for fighting!

It reminds me alot of empire earth. But better imo. I have 2 level 9 home citys.The Games easy on hard. I haven't tryed expert yet maybe today.


ohh and I think it uses the havoc 2 half life 2 physics engine, cannon balls ado sweet damage and the building blow up real cool too.
