The Fall of Troy live

Oh man, so as you all know, I am obsessed with the Fall of Troy. they are from Washington state and never come to the east coast, but they finally came over. i saw them today at a small venue. this place was packed, and sold out, it must of been 110 degrees in there.

they are one of the best live bands i've ever seen. they sound better than Dream Theater live.

This band was Hot Cross, they played before TFOT

N ooffense, but the crowd looks like it is full of fuck faces who need haircuts, small venues rock though beer:

Doctor Duffy 09-17-2005 10:35 PM

My oh my, what a big crowd that is. ed:

I checked them out (Seeing all you're sigs) - didnt like them, too much screaming, not enough playing. But everyone's got their own taste.

i respected your opinion until you said "not enough playing." the singer is the guitarist, and he's doing a shitload of guitar playing for doing both at the same time. its hard to do that. and you've only heard like, maybe 2 songs by them.

and i <3 screaming

Bucknub 09-17-2005 10:47 PM

No, I got their CD from the library (Denver Public Library - has lotsa CD's). Kinda surprised they had it, its mainly an indie band, but I guess they were popular enough to score a place in the library.

I had the CD for a week, but only listened to it for the duration of the CD (Not all at once). It's just taste, I mainly listen to 60's-80's stuff, mostly 60's of all. Just taste.

eh, its bigger than a garage, i was in the front, there was another 50 feet behind me.

and they definitely arent indie. they are considered " Progressive / Experimental / Post Hardcore"

Doctor Duffy 09-17-2005 11:00 PM

Pyro 09-18-2005 02:13 PM

looks like a bunch of fags...and I agree with short...the guys in the crowds need haircuts.

bukdez 09-18-2005 02:39 PM

if i posted pics from every show i see (4-5 a week) this forum would be filled...

Tripper 09-18-2005 02:39 PM

Looks like a fun concert - and whoever else said it, I'm in agreeance with, small venues DEFINITELY kick major ass. I saw People Under The Stairs in a tiny venue and it was one of the best shows I've been too (Next to The Roots and Gang Starr, of course)....

I may download a bit of these guys' stuff.

Nice! I'm going to see him again in about a month at the Methodman & Redman concert, featuring him, and Rahzel - 4 hour concert.

I'm going to be jacking off in the audience. happy:

this place is EXTREMELY small.

they are progressive hardcore, i dont know if you'll like them, but definitely give them a shot. a good cherry popper is F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. which is the remix to FCPSITSGEPGEPGEP. both versions are good.

i got pushed around so bad at that concert, but thats half the fun.

elstatec 09-18-2005 10:02 PM

progressive hardcore

You'd be suprised at some of the music I listen too...I'll try that song....

Short Hand 09-19-2005 12:09 AM

Well, I usaully have an interest in this new stuff jotun posts up, aka fall of troy etc, when he first started posting pics and talking about them i dled about 20 different songs from them, i was surprised, pretty good stuff. Reminds me of "comeback kid" but with wayyy better guitar, drums, bass... overall rythm.. etc.. more screaming.
