The benefits of being friends with a cop...
Can't get a ticket from anyother one.. biggrin:
Met a cop last night that was bored as fuck and he let us follow him around on his calls. He gave us these passes to avoid getting tickets. He is badass. rock: |
scan the pass so we can all print them out

... is it like no tickets if the police catch you doing 130mph or drinking while driving? or is it minor stuff?

|
I'm sure they are for mostly minor things. Still pretty cool, I guess.

How in the fuck is there such a thing as a "card" to get you out of getting tickets? oOo:
Yeah im sorry officer i was doing 150mph knocked down 2 old age pensioners, flattened your only child and your wifes brains are now permanently attached to my hood but have this ticket. *drives off* oOo: oOo: What gonna be next? giving out fucking coupons entitling you to one homocide before a certain date or something? |
I think it just gets you out of trouble for minor speeding tickets, for example 50 in a 40 or something like that.
I know some people who have them, sadly I do not. |
Good luck trying to use it with any cop but the one who gave it to you. Might as well use a "get out of jail for free" pass from your Monoply game.

scan it

actually i met this cop last week that was interested in buying my car and he said to give him a call if i ever get a ticket and gave me his business card with his number on the back. it turns out im not selling my car at what he offered, so i dont know if he will be happy to help me if i ever take him up on his offer.

actually california has a huge thing like that. Lots of people who own exotics pay about $1800 a year and they get a card and a liscense plate fram that say they are part of some CHP club or something. It basically gets them out of big fines and tickets for speeding.
|
Yeah right.
Ive read up on police officer forums, trust me, that card wont do shit for you. Just like people who put Police association stickers on their car, thinking the cops wont stop them cause they try to fool them that they are a cop also spank: |
Ok, i'm older than most of you guys here so i can speak from experience. A few ways of "getting out of a ticket"
1. The offense can't be too fuckin' crazy 2. Pull over and give officer PLENTY of room...don't leave him standing in traffic 3. Be courteous 4. If you have one of those silly cards, ask him "will this help any?" as you hand him your licence. 5. Listen to him.....don't question him 6. Make the officer feel safe (pull over w/room, turn off engine, roll down windows, turn on interior lights, have ID ready, and place hands on wheel) You follow these simple rules and chances of you getting a verbal instead of a ticket are increased. You just have to use some common sense. Other than a parking ticket (when i wasn't around), i only got ticketed once. Note: I had a cop question me once about me pulling up far on the grass on a major hwy, i just said "I wanted to make sure you were safe getting out of your car Sir". Cop liked that and told me to drive safe and have a good day after a clean license check. |
Thats how I do it when I get pulled over. WE dont have fancy cards up here. Usually when I see a cop flip on his lights and I know its me I pull over well before hes behind me and I wait for him with windows down(if weather permits) and the car turned off. Knock on wood but I havent got a ticket for speeding yet.

if you treat the officer with the respect he DESERVES often you wont even get a ticket

its easy for you and arkan to say. sometimes for officers it doesnt matter how much respect you treat them with, if youre a young kid with a bit of roughness to him - youre fucked. |
Not even if you have roughness...if your just a young kid your fucked. I got a ticket on my 4th day of driving...obviously the cop knew that because i had that paper telling me i could drive, but i didnt have my license. I was doing 35 in a 25, when the rest of the mall area its 35 (except this one street) it was 11 pm it was a school night and i just got off work and i was going home, no one was on the road. And he pulled me over and didnt even cut me any slack, gave me a ticket, no speech or anything, just a flat out ticket. I had to do 40 hours of community service at the hospital for that shit.

You guys are forgetting i was young once too. I got pulled over alot more as a youth than i do now and only got that one ticket. I followed those rules closely as a kid and it payed off. |
Does it make cops mad if you pull over to the left? Like on an 4 lane highway with a median.
I've always wondered if I should immediately pull over to the left if I'm in the passing lane, or move over then pull over to the right. |
[quote="Sgt>Stackem":0a211]if you treat the officer with the respect he DESERVES often you wont even get a ticket[/quote:0a211]
Well if he pulls us over for the reason that we're young drivers and the car looks the way it does when no offence is being done...then respect is NOT deserved...a punch in the fucking face should apply instead. |
Pyro, you'll need to put on about 125 more pounds before you can even "think" that. In the meantime, go back to playing x-box.
