kids get beat at my place of employment...!?!?!?
 

Well.. THis is a long and akward story... but here it goes.


I am a cleaner.. "Floor Cleaner" to be exact, and I don't really get in anyones way, or care about the kids who work at the store.. but something very very odd happned in the Produce department today. 2 newer kids are working the vegies and fruits. For the most part one of them is slacking. BIG TIME. Now this is usaully not a problem, the kids end up getting behind, miss a bit of work and stay later to try and make up for any work they miss.. not golden.. but decent. SO our produce manager who will remain named "Mr X" walks into the store and notices the complete fuck up. The floor is filthy from the guys not sweeping, The Banana's are EMPTY (in a NO Frills grocery store this is considered a crime), and everything was messed up. One of the kids was busting his balls off while the other was wandering.. Mr X" then calls out on the PA "would all produce employee's please come to the backroom thank you."

So both of the kids go to the back, "Mr. X" fucking EXPLODS ! on them, all you could hear was screaming.... AND as the "story goes" (this is not official) one of the kids gives him lip and he throws him into the produce cooler and slaps him around like a ragdoll,(inside the cooler) supposedly all you heard was thump splash.. WHAM ect.......Mr. X" walks out goes threw the store then leaves, the kid comes out and goes to another senior grocery staff member who asks "what happned" THe kid then tells him in a room upstairs that Mr X" slapped him around in the cooler. Supposedly this kid was crying as well... The senior grocery staff member then informs the store owner by phone.. (now this is the scary part if it is true" He replies "nothin happend, you never heard anything, and then hangs up. about an hour later the manager walks in, calls the senior grocery employee up who heard this and warned him about his job and that he was technically on probation still (he left work for 2 months and came back)....(this is the kids and senior grocery staff members story) NOw this all sounds crazy to me, because Mr. X is the greatest guy in the world, he treats his staff great, orders properly, and treats his little girl like a queen.. He brings her into work alot as well.. I couldn't beleive in a million years that this guy would ever do such a thing. Which is why I do not beleive he even touched the kid. My beleif is he told the kid is was going to fire him and the kid got scared and made it all up. This kid has also been know to try and start fights, and pulled his produce knife on another produce kid. basicly a semi shit disturber.. although he works quite decently most days except for tonight...Any ways, the grocery staff member came and told me first, he aksed my opinion.. My advice was to keep quiet and wait a little bit... Well time went to fast, the kid called the police and there were 4 sqaud cars on the building, they asked everyone questions as well. Then our owner and the co owner (his wife) came in and talk with an officer for hours.. When they leave they talk to me and act extremely nice.. more then usaul.. MOST of the time they walk out of the store and really don't acknowledge me.. (people tend to look down on the contracted floor cleaners)... ANYways it is all really fucked up, and I have no clue of what is going to happen. I will post updates if anyone is intrested as well. (one thing I do know, if this goes public, the store will go under and I will lose my job ...)

Im glad I work where I do . The grocery store I work at if just like a nofrills (im in loblaws too) but cheaper. Our staff consists of about 8 staff members, 1 full time, 3 management and 4 part timers. Its really close nit and we go out for supper the odd time. Its lots of fun. I can never imagine something like this happening at my store.

Thats total bullshit. If there's no marks on the kid and no witnesses, there's nothing anyone can do. If it "really" happened, the lil' asshat probably deserved it. If he didn't get an asswhoopin' now, he'll eventually get one later in life.

Don't say shit and don't worry. Ain't a freakin' thing they can do to you for "playing stupid". Chalk that one up as a good future story.

My sister and brother in-law own a pizza resteraunt downtown on a busy street, that goes up cornell campus. He's a really nice guy, but i don't doubt he could really woop some ass.. Good advice. You can't comment on what you didn't actually see. Sounds to me like you've got the situation under control. Heck, write it all down. It might make a good chapter in a book someday.

Well.. update as goes" it seems he did something. After everyone left, I went into the owners office and watched the video camera footage.. It seems he did bring him into the cooler.... on further watching I could see the senior grocery staff member come by and investigate a little bit.... Fucked up.

thats is fucked up if it happened, why didnt he just fire the kids if they werent working? some people just have too high of expectations for teenagers. just tell the cops what you heard and saw

I just hope the smartarse little cunt doesn't get what he deserves...not in this day and age. cry:
