Just saw a guy i haven't seen in over 20 years. We used to be best of friends as kids and lost contact after we both moved. Funny how by chance you meet people again later in life. He's designing a landscape for a new house being built up the street from where i live. We're gonna hook up when we have some free time to catch up on a lil' thing called life. He's already hired to help me with my landscaping design.

Fucking weird how time just escapes us sometimes.

I was coming home from a hunting trip and heard a wierd noise in my van so I hit a rest stop. When I parked I saw smoke from the engine compartment. I thought it was overheating so I popped the hood but it was on fire. The guy parked next to me was sleeping so I woke him and told him to get the hell away from my van. (he almost smoked his tires getting away) All of a sudden some guy runs up with a fire extingusher and put the fire out, it turns out it was a guy I went to Jr High with, i hadent seen him in 15 years! We shot the shit for an hour or so, it was amazing. Of all the people to see it was him

I've been there Ark. I used to have a really good friend in high school that I hadn't talked to in like 5 years. Apparently he got into drugs and shit and his life went on a rollercoaster and we stopped talking right before then. Now I talk to him from time to time and it's cool catching up on old times.

My best friend growing up I hadnt seen in almost 13 years...we moved away when I was 10.

I saw his parents at my work one day and Next thing I know they come in 2 weeks later and tell me hes dead from a car accident and the next time I saw him was at his funeral.

I met so many guys I used to hang out with on that block at that funeral.

It was amazing they still remembered me and I was fine at the funeral untill I saw a collage they had of old pictures of him growing up and saw so many of us together as kids. I broke down right there. its a shame that it happens, true friends are hard to come by.

Nyck, sorry you had to deal with that. It sucks when young people die. I still remember this quiet girl in HS who was killed in a car wreck in our Sr year. I think of her from time to time and realize she never grew up with the rest of us, getting married and having kids. Shit like that makes you appreciate life and the things you have.

Thats why i'm glad to bump into this old friend. Hell, we're gonna get drunk and talk about some old shit.

If i'm to give any advice to you fuckers here, it's this:
You're making tomorrows memories today.
So, don't get yourself into an everyday rut (change things up a bit) and enjoy yourselves at all times. Never forget family or friends.

I can relate.. sort of.. My Dad's Coworker's son was killed in a car-accident. I went to the wake, they had a beautiful ceremony with a slideshow and family speakers, and though I never met him, just from hearing about him, I wish I had. It makes you wonder. loney:

sorry too hear aswell but remembering the good times should over shadow the sad times that happen as we all end up that way in the end

I ran into my mate who emergrated to australia 3 years ago, I thought he was still there. We caught up on alot of things, but I couldnt stay long as he was at work. Were gonna go out for a few beers and catch up on things.
