Ebay Fraud

Ive always wondered what Ebay has the power to do with this sort of situation:

so basicly this means that your at the mercey of the seller on whether or not you will recieve what you paid for. if the guy is an asshole like this and decides to sell a bunch of shit he doesn't have then disapear after he recieves all the money, there is nothing ebay can do for you except terminate his ebay account....very comforting.

If they used PayPal, they are covered up to a $1000, I think. Probably just have their money tied up in red tape for a bit.

I got beat once for $20 on a DVD. Wasn't the type of transaction that would break the bank account but it was the idea. Fucker even left me a negative feedback saying he received a late payment so he gave himself up in the feedback response. Since i sent payment via M.O., i just chalked it up as a loss.

Only thing is.....i know his address and the next time i visit my family in Va. i'm gonna swing by and see if it's a store he was selling from. People who rip others off suck...especially right before x-mas. Buyer beware.

He made off with 28000 $ + ...... thats not fucking right. EBAY SHOULD do something about this. That is major jailtime.

Sergeant_Scrotum 01-04-2006 03:26 PM

First thing I look at when buying is previous feedback. Can anyone say DUH when you see 120 negative feedbacks? its their fault.

That's exactly what I thought. Apparently, though, the guy put all the items for auction at around the same time - a difference like a week or so. So given the time the item would take to ship, etc., the other people bid on the items while being shown only positive feedback.

Madmartagen 01-04-2006 04:19 PM

hah, thats fucked.

Unknown_Sniper 01-04-2006 04:20 PM

all the compalinst were over 2-3 days and most made within 30 minutes of eachother. could just be a bunch of pricks tryign to ruin someone as well.

elstatec 01-04-2006 04:20 PM

its their fucking fault for not checking the fucking feedback before bidding.

i dont buy anything from anyone on ebay if its anymore than 2 negatives.

hope they get caught anyway and get puked on by rhinos. dont fuck with the internet.

Judas 01-04-2006 04:24 PM

Guys a genius actually. He has crafted a great alibi to protect HIMSELF from the "fraudulence" of ONLINE PAYMENTS (anyone with a brain should be suspect if someone REFUSES ANY online payment - even through ebay's CC payments) after ONE bad transaction among hundreds.

The best they can do is contact people who have had SUCCESSFUL transactions with the guy to get a location, or simply forward it to feds or state police as this SHOULD be a felony since it goes over state lines.

Ebay's hilarious though. I love seeing the listings for 800 dollar Samsung q30's, and the last 100 items sold are table-top doiles.
