When it comes to movies, is there really a difference between "Fully Restored" (concerning old movies) and the original?

I'm just looking to buy BULLITT on dvvdvvdvdv and there were two versions at best buy.... the original, and the "FULLY RESTORED!" version for ten bucks more. Is it worth it or nots?

And I agree, a Sticky just for myself would be a marvelous idea.

do you really have to make a thread about this? you couldn't have asked your friends or family what the difference is between an old original movie and a remastered version? and, even then its sort of common sense, no? remastered = a revised, better quality version (i think) compared to the original. thats why its 10 bucks more cuz its a better visual version.

Just I remember seeing Toy Story REMASTERED edition and was just like "wtf?" the entire time, trying to figure out the difference between this one and the last. Honestly couldnt see it... was just wondering whether you guys though this RESTORD thing is just a cashgrab, or if it really is worth the bucks.
