Your favorite class/subject in school

What would you say your favorite class/subject in school was and why would you say it is your favorite

I would have to say that my favorite subject is math. I saw the equations as little puzzles to solve and with math there was alway a definitive answer, no question of opinion to debate or theorize on. I liked the definitiveness of it all.

As far as class I would say my art class in college. It was nothing major, just an intro class, but It was the one class I wouldnt miss even when I got bored of my classes that semester. I was able to create alot of cool pictures and images, some that the art teacher even took slides of to show at an art lecture(I'll have to take a couple pics of them sometime, they are framed in my house right now)

yours?

ps...there now go fuck yourselfs you PMSing crybabies whining over the content of my posts. More than 3 words, no links and no pix. plzdie:

I'm a history major, and preparing for graduate school. I've always loved history, and not just the popular WWII history. I love Antebellum America history, the Jacksonian era, Reconstruction, Baroqueian/Classical eras throughout the Mediterranean, and countless other topics. I want to be a history professor someday, that would be a thrilling job for me. Incredibly bland for most I know, but I love it and I excel at it.

P.S. Dean's List last semester nuggas. dance:

Highschool - Music Theory
It was so awesome to disect music and create my own. People don't think music requires much thought/thinking processes. It made me think harder than any of my AP classes. In a way, it's like what Nyck described with Math...you had to find out many little puzzles for each part. Cool stuff.

In my 37 credits (two semesters) of college so far, my favorite class has been Symphonic Band, believe it or not. It's an awesome feeling playing with young men and women that have great musical talent that is taken from all over the country. It's like going to an All-Eastern concert every practice.

edit: dean's list last semester as well, poop stain biggrin:

Wha? biggrin:

I like music as well. I'm taking an intro to listening class this semester. I enjoy classical music moreso than most people I know.

I had jazz evolution last semester and it was A TON of very interesting information. But I think it was just way too much information that was given soley from lectures and listening from my prof. He would stand in front of the class (about 20 of us) and just talk..very...very...slowly..in..a..monotone...voic e.........then play at music clip.....and then....talk about...it more. The book was pretty sweet, and learned a lot from that.

Psychology, English

Jotun 01-13-2006 01:43 PM

I would have to say my favorite class is Biology. I love it, the study of animals, bodily functions, metabolism, chemical reactions in the body, just the study of life (duh). My AP Bio class last year was my favorite class ever, so much fun. I learned so damn much.

My favorite class this year is AP Psychology. Just interesting in general.

math...i love definater answers and answers u can check...although lots of sections of math that we learn are very vague and undefined. still i love math....never liked english that much but apparantly im really good at decoding novels and this year, between a good teacher and actually decent books, im acing the class. i have a weird memory system where i can jus look over vocab words once and know em perfectly...i wish i was like that in all my classes...

c312 01-13-2006 03:09 PM

I have started to like English classes more. I have an American Lit course that sounds like its gonna be really cool this semester.

As for my favorite class's. In college and highschool would have to be all my video production stuff. Which is also my major, so it works out.

Trunks 01-13-2006 04:21 PM

ela, i love to write, and history, i love to study wars.

My favorite subjects are History, Peace + Politics, Geography, Religion.

I had 18 credits last semester and I have 19 this semester. My major requires 138 to graduate. I have a semester layout and the lowest amount of credits I can take is 17. There are 3 19 credit semesters and most of the others are 18. The thing that sucks a lot is many of the music courses are 1 credit each...when they meet 3 times a week for 50mins or an hour and 15mins. mad:

01-13-2006 06:10 PM

I have 0 out of the 62 I need for my A.A.S. First semester, I will take 14 credits.

anyways, favorite class by far was history, then government, and economics.

SoLiDUS 01-13-2006 08:26 PM

Provided we're not asked to solve hours worth of 'problems', math: while I'm good at it, the procrastinator in me doesn't like work...

Jin-Roh 01-13-2006 08:27 PM

umm.. English with Mr. Wood and class. He's the awesomest.

Cpt. Obvious 01-13-2006 08:40 PM

I would definetly say that AP Government/Civics has been my favorite class and I guess my favorite subject is History.

Doctor Duffy 01-13-2006 09:08 PM

How's AP, anyways?

I'm in the IB thing, and I've got uber-grades, but I hate all the work. Hows it compare?

gah, IB, kill me now. AP doesnt have nearly as much work. Duff, why do you take the IB? Full IB, or just a few certificate classes?

AP has its ups and downs....a lot of work but not much homework, except for AP Calculus.

I really overloaded myself with classes this year. Last year, my junior year, I had just AP Biology. This year, senior year, I have AP Calculus, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, and AP English Lit. It sucks. APES and Psych are easy....Calc and English are the hard ones.

Sorry, but just judging from that title, that book screams favoritism on the author's part.

Tells history from a different perspective, what isnt in the history books basically.

History in my earlier years in school, im regretting not taking it for my GCSE's though. I enjoyed resistant materials at school too, making stuff out of wood was pretty fun.

I loved my course at college. 100% coursework based on IT. It was soooo easy, I should have tried harder though, to get a better grade though.

Pyro 01-14-2006 05:14 PM

I hate it. My dad signed me up, and isnt changing his mind about it.

Since I'm a freshman, it's actually pre-IB, but its still massive amounts of work.

f I convinced my dad to let me do AP, I'd still have all my courses AP'd, though. Maybe save for math.

c312 01-14-2006 06:46 PM

Pre-IB sucks even more, it's hard but you don't get the weighted grades
