Unknown_Sniper 03-13-2006 12:51 PM

both of the abovce are nice looking. I think VW is going ot be putting out so really nice cars in the up coming years. THe new GTI is starting something they have to keep up.

lol yeah, i know a few mechanics at Volkswagen, and i use to work there. Big piece of shits. Electrical problems up the ass.

In my short 7 months there, there were 3 recalls on the Touregs and 2 recalls on the 2004/2005 Jettas.

The only car that wasn't really plauged with to many problems were the very nice R32's

Unknown_Sniper 03-13-2006 02:58 PM

yeah if the germans could fix the electrical problems their cars would be amazing. Then again, for what they are, they are terrific cars.

yeah dude, my brother's gf got a 2005 VW Jetta and she's been having electrical problems out the wazoo. When the warranty runs out she's going for a new car.

tomxtr 03-13-2006 03:21 PM

I always thought that VW made a nice car, but recently they've been performing very poorly in reliability ratings. That's a shame too, because some of the models are looking sharp.

VW has just been having a tad of a qaulity control problem since 2001. There sales have doubled in the past 6 years alone. ONE company here to stay people ;)

Also GIVE ME BACK MY WINDOWS!!! For fuck sake what happened to door windows? There lowest point is above my damn shoulder, there tiny as all fuck these days. I imagine it to protect against SUV impacts but... Well i wont go into my hatered for SUV's.

Tripper 03-13-2006 08:43 PM

My sister has had a Golf GTI for like 6 years and she hasn't had a single problem with it at all....

A family friend staying with us has had a Polo for just a bit longer and says the same thing, I've driven my sisters a number of times and it is a sweet ride, handles like a rally car, very quick as well...Maybe the american VWs are just pure shit.... eek:

My family only owns subarus and they've lasted us MANY miles.

I've had a '91 Subaru Legacy and I have never needed to take it in to get any kind of repairs or special maintenance. It still drives like a champ rock:

my mitsu was a POS. one day i pulled the e-brake, and it just broke.

Milla 03-16-2006 01:59 AM

Thats common in a lot of cars though. The cable wears out. My friends cable snapped in his Chevy Cavalier, granted it was a 91' it happens.

it wasnt the cable. something actually broke off the frame of the car that made the cable tight. it is NOT common as i have probably told 100 people about it, and noone has ever had it happen to them

geRV 03-16-2006 10:54 AM

Ive had something similiar happen with my Montero. Hell the brake system on a montero after you lift it gets fucked up anyways but regardless, the brakes kept blowing up, or the e-brake would lock up after sitting for a day or two.
