Yes but sony will provide the retailers with more than 50 PS3's at a time (fucking xbox) when hte PS2 came out we got hundreds in at one time.

eh, first off i dont like the shape of the 'rollers i swear ive seem those in a porn once, and they dont have any games i want. and a 60 gig hard drive thats a little much

you can never have enough gigs.

i'm on a computer with 32 gigs... 60 is too much for a console... and launch consoles suck (my first ps2's was broken upon arrival and the xbox 360's are firestarters)

the only thing ps3 has that i have my eye on is th Blu-Ray but too bad sony owns the rights to shitty movies

ps3 like the xbox 360 will suck, like the ps2 did after the lack of living up to its hype, like the 'emotion engine' that turned out to be little more than a hamster in a running mill thing.

and at least microsoft got the athsetics of the console right, whilst ps3 looks like a george foreman grill with a boomerang controller.


best bet is the revolution, however wierd the controller might be it is still is going to be, well a revolution.

Those boomerang controllers look mighty comfortable though.

i don't see how ps2 flopped...it had way more quality games than xbox and gamecube combined.

if anything gamecube flopped.. how many games are made for that, like 2 a month?

amount of games made or amount of consoles sold doesnt mean its better, just the people who bought it weak minded to sonys hype. Flopped as in being a bad console with about 3% of the games being good.

gamecube sucked imo, kiddie games (minus a few) and absolutely retarded controllers.

As for the release date, I think we all knew it was going to launch in November. No way it could have launched in the Spring because we haven't even started to see ads promoting it yet. I remember seeing an XBOX 360 ad last year in late July.

itll never be 600 dollars. 200 dollars more than the 360? I dont think so. Plus, you can count on microsoft to issue a price drop, my guess between 50-100 dollars right before the PS3 launch. As for good games, it depends what you like. PS2 had some of the best 3rd person action games Ive ever played, SOC, DMC 3, GOW, to name a few, all of which will doubtlessly be having sequels. Then there are rpg's, which the ps2 was never in short supply of, and many of which are quite good.

Not in the lifetime of the ps3 can pretty much guarantee that, how many double dvd games are there for ps2? Don't think theres any and thats like 9 gigs per disc assuming theyre usuing full capacity discs and not the 4.5's thats a lot more common.
