You can have them aressted and banned from the premises. If they return within that ban the cops will jail them.

You can only match force with force. They have a knife you can shoot them, if they're threatening you. However if they are non threatening you cant do shit but call the cops.

If someone breaks into your house here in the UK, you're legally obliged to make him a cup of tea and ask him if he'd like some biscuits.

same thing i asked myself. She was like ' they've been cutting through my yard for for months and i just had to put my foot down '* or something like that. She said she was only try to 'scare' the kids but this is how innocent kids get killed by idiots with guns and bad tempers. The host, chris crok was actually applauding her effort to keep the kids out of her yard. He's not a bad guy but i didn't feel him on that issue with the tresspassing and all. Maybe if i owned a home i'd better understand where these people are coming from.

I believe that is totally incorrect. Like others said, if a burglar is climbing through your back window and trip and fall and injure themselves, they can sue. If you catch someone breaking into your hourse and lets say they have a knife on them, or something similar, and you shoot them; you can be charged.

Dude, I know it makes no sense. If someone tried to break into my house and I had a gun, I would probably shoot them. Look into it though, if you shoot someone in your house who doesnt have a weapon its excessive force. that's because there are judges that are retarded, it's not a common place thing. If someone comes into your house with a knife and tries to hurt you or your family, you can shoot them. Period.

all that i know is if your gonna shoot a tresspasser it has to be below the waist, if its above its attempted murder and you could get yourself in jail

Yes, here in the States, if someone gets hurt while breaking into your home, they can sue. That doesn't mean they'll win. In fact, i never heard of a single case where a perp won.

A buddy of mine blew off a guys leg with a 12ga shotgun in his house. The guy broke into his house and was beating his mother with a hammer. Buddy grabbed the 12ga and shot the guy behind the leg because he didn't want to shoot his mother. The guy lost his leg and tried to sue from jail. Of course the judge threw it out.

You break into someones home and get shot in the process with a licensed gunholder, chances are you'll lose the suit if you try to sue and the homeowner will be cleared of charges.
