South Park

DId anyone see it last night, it was a 2-parter ... well episode 2 was last night and they were supposed to sho muhammed ... what happened? Was that a serious censor by Comedy Central or what was supposed to run.

Unknown_Sniper 04-13-2006 05:06 PM

I saw it and I still dont know. I wouldnt put it past The creators to actually show muhammad but then again they might not have by request of comedy central.

Simo Häyhä 04-13-2006 06:00 PM

I missed it!!

Judas 04-13-2006 06:17 PM

showing muhammad isnt what the episode is really about i dont think.

c312 04-13-2006 06:28 PM

ugh, muslims are sooo....regressive.

Sirus 04-13-2006 06:50 PM

if they did show it, you would here about all the muslims going ape shit bombing buildings and storming comedy central

c312 04-13-2006 06:57 PM

Did they show Jesus and the American flag getting shat on? I heard they showed that and blanked Muhammed to show the hypocrisy.

Unknown_Sniper 04-13-2006 07:58 PM

yeah. They had it set up as a family guy episode. Family guy ran the muhamad scene(it was censored on southpark) and then they showed the muslims retaliation which was an idiotic episode of americans shitting(litterally) on eachother and then bush shitting on the average american, then a bunch of other people shitting on eachother and then jesus shitting on everyone.

I don't know, that part just sucked ... is like they couldn't get a well said attack. What i thought was funny was Bart. When he and Cartman are speaking and they are comparing how bad each other is, and Bart goes I stole the head of the statue once, and cartman goes well I had a kid eat his own parents.

it's true though, this whole deal has just made me angry at them and their hypocrisy and backwardness.

Sicilian_Summers 04-14-2006 12:11 PM

Wasn't Muhammad in the Super Friends episode?

It's not hipocracy. It's not against the Christian religion to show drawings of god, it IS against the Muslim religion to have any pictures of Muhammed.

So you're angry at the Muslim who owns the local cornerstore or the Muslim guy who works with you or the Muslim you went to high school with.....?

I think if it said somewhere in the bible that to show the Image of christ was sinful, Christians would act in a very similar way if Muslims printed it in spiteful manner....

This is whats got me so damn confused about this whole situation. For the most part im really wondering why Parker and Stone didnt just say "why cant we show him, you already let us once". Or atleast publicly saying "um retards, while comedy central is being douche this time, we've already fucking shown him".

BEHOLD

anti 04-15-2006 01:03 AM

gotta love when they poke fun of their own show. i find it hypocritical that they didn't show it, regardless if it's matt and trey's decision or comedy networks. they do touch on the network's pressure. the skit with terrance and phillip talking with the network exec (made terrance a bit fater to represent trey). bullshit they talk about fear as a form of terrorism yet they give into it.

I thought Terrance did become fat though? They had an episode that discussed what Terrance and Philip did once their show got cancelled, and Terrance got overweight as a result.

i think it was the networks decision to take mohammed out

but you would think matt and treey have some sort of power to persuade. i mean, as said theyve already shown mohammad once; now that times are rough they wont do it again? matt and trey could have threatened to move networks or something. i just find it hard to imagine that they put up this whole huge front about sometimes people need to die to protect our freedoms blah blah but they themselves won't do dick all but make jokes?

Simo Häyhä 04-15-2006 11:05 AM

i believe that overall the networks have the final word

anti 04-15-2006 11:09 AM
i believe that overall the networks have the final word[/quote:8725f]

i guess if they are under contract there's not much they can do but make jokes. but i would still have expected more action out of them rather than just a joke and the usual preaching they have.

Madmartagen 04-15-2006 11:27 AM
i believe that overall the networks have the final word[/quote:b6377]agreed, if artists had more control over their show, im sure we would still be seeing chappelle on tv..

strvs 04-15-2006 08:23 PM

lol that episode was good.
