oOo:

Halo 1 was enoyable but had far too many fucking rooms that looked identical, half the game was spent with people running in circles trying to figure out what way they had come.

Halo 2 was disapointing in a lot of ways, it had some suituations that were similar to halo 1 where you would easily get lost in the levels. Not alot of action on earth, actually that was one of its main criticisims. Also the game didn't look nearly as good as it was meant to due to the fact they made a balls up making video sequences for trailers then realising in game with those kind of settings it turned into a slide show.

I finished halo 1 in co-op mode, halo 2 just got boring for me half way through and i never bothered with it again. Doubt i'll get a 360 just for halo 3. loney:

Jimmy Paterson 04-28-2006 08:44 AM

ive never played halo, is it good?

CoMaToSe 04-28-2006 08:45 AM

yes

Jin-Roh 04-28-2006 09:37 AM

I got bored looking for the way out in Halo and Halo 2.

TGB! 04-28-2006 09:41 AM

I thought it was fun when I played it years ago on the XBOX. . .but its a formula that gets old damn sure quickly - and quite simply there are just better shooters out there.

And if BILL GATES think's he can put a dent in the PS3's sales - then he just may well be autistic like people say.

gtboys34 04-28-2006 12:14 PM

i wanna see turok on the 360 or the ps3 happy:

Halo 3 is gonna look amazing. Be prepared..

Nope, doom 3 was easy to navigate, probably because of the halo controls being on a joypad it was easier to get lost. Also the fact that doom 3 was just dark unlike halo where every room looked the friggin same. annoy:

are you kidding? Doom 3 was full of rooms that all looked the same...

Miscguy 04-29-2006 01:49 AM

Played 1 and 2 but wont buy a new system at full price to play a sequel. Perhaps when the xbox 540 is near release and the 360 is the current xbox price i will consider it.

Funny i never got lost in it, whereas the most common complaint with the halo games was its far too easy to get lost. oOo: The rooms in doom 3 all had differences with them, in halo it was the same texture and the same bit of geometry every time.

c312 04-29-2006 10:00 AM

I never got lost in Halo but I got lost in Doom, I think they had the same problem though.

I would agree, but you can't say that Doom 3 had varying environments.

Short Hand 04-29-2006 11:24 AM

The Engine was to much for outdoor enviroments at the time. BUT that has changed.

Exactly, people said the same about the quake 3 engine " it can't do outdoor maps". A load of the games using that engine have large outdoor maps, mohaa and rtcw being 2 of the more prominent ones. Doom 3 took that to another level though with light sources projecting real time shadows. Quake wars seems to do it well though judging from pics and that trailer.

I too got lost in Halo. Halo isn't exactly ground breaking, as far as FPSs go, yet it's what has kept the X-Box alive.

WidowMaker555 04-29-2006 01:44 PM

Pokemon Stadium > all

HeadUp 04-29-2006 02:50 PM

doesnt matter, there are a lot of ppl who dont play computer games or have a high level of knowledge of different games....they have a big boner for halo and will buy it like crack fiends

i bet it will look pretty cool on the 360 tho

Doom 3 > Halo.[/quote:9f653]Nice.. comparing a game that's three years older than the other.

I liked Halo.. Yeah sure there was some repetitiveness in the campaign, but Halo 2 had less of that, but I still liked the first one's campaign better. I'll probably pick up an Xbox 360 sometime this summer.

Proteus 04-29-2006 05:16 PM

I can't express how much this game is going to ruin my life.

elstatec 04-29-2006 06:26 PM

have to say ive had more fun playing halo + halo 2 than doom 3, its repetitiveness and lacking multiplayer mode didnt leave much for the imagination.

c312 04-29-2006 07:33 PM

I'm think i liked the SP of Doom more than Halo, but both Halos are obviously better in the MP aspect.

Naturally. Look at what system it's for. A system that specializes in online FPS gaming. I'm fairly sure Halo 2 on PC, MP wise would be total shit, much like the first Halo on PC.

elstatec 04-29-2006 08:01 PM

ive played both doom 3 on xbox and pc, both dissappointing and can honestly say halo xbox live pretty much over does it, let alone thwe 4 player mde in halo 1 on xbox, amazing.

DOOM 3 was never meant for multiplayer.

Pyro 04-30-2006 04:07 PM

Halo games are good

they just aren't as good as xbox fanboys think they are.
