The Canucks also sent promising young goaltender Alex Auld and defenseman Bryan Allen to the Panthers in exchange for Lukas Krajicek and a sixth-round pick in Saturday's draft in Vancouver."

"Lowe admitted Saturday that defenseman Chris Pronger has officially requested a trade and that the team has heard from his agent."

Big rumors that sergei samsanov is wanting to sign with chicago.

looks like that run is over.

Zoner 06-25-2006 07:07 PM

For fuck sakes...

They better get something in return for Pronger. Pronger to Ottawa for Redden and Havlat.

Make it so.

There was buzzing going around saying that the Leafs offered Kaberle and Stajan in exchange for Pronger, but Edmonton wanted Steen...which JFJ declined at.

Tnaguay for Loepold is Huge!

At the football game in Edmonton my buddy had this shirt. they banned peanuts at commonwealth because someone complained that they were allergic, so instead of peanuts, we got beer and hot dogs thrown at us.

You're lucky you didn't get your asses kicked.

I laffed when I heard the fans in Edmonton were calling Pronger's wife "Yoko". biggrin:

ninty 06-26-2006 10:23 AM

there were 27 of us in our group, we got heckeled and tons of stuff thrown at us but it was all in good fun.

I lol that the oilers suck even though they went to game 7 of the cup finals with a scrubby back up goalie who hadnt played at all since march 1st...but the flames and wings both got their asses handed to them in the 1st round with vezina trophy goalie kipper and vote getting Legace(who btw got more votes than luongo, which I find funny)

ninty 06-26-2006 10:57 AM

there wern't the right letters to spell eskimos or edmonton so we had to go with oilers. anyway, that's not the point. the point is that the oilers loss is a soft sport for edmonton now and the sign wasn't fixed until 2:00pm the next day, so edmontonians got to drive by until 2:00pm seeing "oilers suck" on a sign in their own city which is awesome so stfu.

am I the only one that finds it Ironic that Ninty's name is derived from the mother of all edmonton oilers, wayne gretzky?

name change to Twelve?

Sgt>Stackem 06-27-2006 09:22 AM

or 17 so he can be like Wendy

ninty 06-27-2006 09:26 AM

meh, not really, gretzky was playing for the rangers in his last game the day i made the screen name.

TonyMontana 06-29-2006 01:50 PM

McCabe re-signs with Toronto 5 years 28.75 million dollars.
Redden re-signs with Ottawa 2 years, 13 million dollars

Zoner 06-29-2006 02:00 PM

Looks like Chara is headed out of town then. I doubt they'll be able to keep both him and Redden.

Read that Roenick wants to play in Canada. Maybe Muckler should sign him. We need a good loudmouth asshole-type.

Nyck 06-29-2006 02:14 PM

Word is that Pronger got really friendly and close to a news reporter up in edmonton.

Thats why his wife wants out

Its on the internet. It must be true.
=====================================

It's plausible, I s'pose. All I hope is that Kev Lowe gets a shitload in return for Pronger.

Pyro 06-29-2006 04:22 PM

if pronger became a leaf...id become a senators fan

you hear it here first

fuck pronger...most idiotic thing the leafs ever could do was send two bright and upcoming amazing players for one over the hill faggot who only knows how to make that first pass.

fuck pronger...and lol at not wanting to live in edmonton

who the fuck would?

Go Leafs. after seeing tomas kaberle play for czech at the worlds...i know he is the real reason mccabe was even considered decent.

I kind of agree. He spends more time off the ice now than actually playing. I cannot express how i felt watching him play on the ice in person I was so excited. The first game i went to he missed it due to knee surgery.

I feel bad for him. He's such a stand up player, but he is old now, and his knees arent near what they were years ago. Whatever he decides i sure will support him and understand his choice.

Stevie Y for life. rock:

Domi will be place on waivers at 12:00pm, and if not claimed he will be bought out. Thanks for memories Tie.

Zoner 06-30-2006 09:56 AM

I know Tie is a sentimental fan favourite in Toronto, but this is a very wise decision on JFJ's part. Domi contributed very little last year and looked really out of place in today's NHL.

It'd be better for the Leafs to give a youngster more of a chance to play or sign a solid 3rd or 4th line free agent.

ninty 06-30-2006 10:24 AM

Oilers' Dvorak won't be back

According to the Edmonton Sun, the agent for Radek Dvorak, Ritch Winter, said his client has ‘no interest in returning’ to the Oilers and will become a free agent Saturday.

"I won't say why. He just has no interest in returning," Winter said. "He would like to pursue other opportunities."

Meanwhile, contract talks are progressing with forward Fernando Pisani and defenceman Jaroslav Spacek.

And there is still hope that the Oilers will be able to retain goaltender Dwayne Roloson. The main issue is the salary cap.

"There might be even more emphasis now on doing something early because you never know how much money is going to be taken up and what will be left," said agent Mark Witkin who is representing both Pisani and Roloson. "That's the single biggest difference now with the cap."

----------------------

Dvorak sucks anyway, but it's still funny. I'm sure the oilers didn't want him back.

TonyMontana 06-30-2006 10:35 AM

The Detroit Red Wings have taken 2006 Norris Trophy winner Nicklas Lidstrom off the free agent market, signing him to a two-year contract. The deal will pay him $7.6 million US in each season. Lidstrom, a career Red Wing who was eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on Saturday, led all NHL defencemen in scoring in 2005-06, with a career-high 80 points, including 16 goals.

Sgt>Stackem 06-30-2006 10:42 AM

The Wings are interested in Roloson and (please dont do it) Psyco Eddie
