My vacation (56k warning)
 

So i went with my gf's family down to Sanibel Island this past week. Got some shots I would like to share with you guys.

First i'll start with the deep sea fishing adventure.

80 pounds of solid fish, and was a bitch to get it. My gf's brother and i were tied into eachothers lines and rigged up to these waist belt things to use our body weight to catch this thing. The guy said this was a baby, and they get as big as 400 pounds. This thing almost pulled us into the water, i cant imagine fighting 400 pounds of fish (It was a Goliath Grouper)

My grandpa lives down in Ft. Myers. I have been down to Sanibel Island a couple times and it is probably the most beautiful beach that I have been to. Its definetely a fun place to go. It looks like you had a good time. beer:

The deepsea charters out of Sanibel have excellent captains. Alot of smart folks that have been fishing the area for a while.

The captain we rode with out of Fort Myers said a few months ago his buddy had caught a Goliath grouper and was reeling it and and to much surprise a 14 foot Hammerhead got hooked on the line eating the grouper lol.

If you ever see it on TV, and not sure if they have it in your hood, every year in Boca Grande they have the Tarpon tourney. You'll see hammerheads come up and bite 160-170pd tarpons in half.

Earlier this month, some guys caught a 18ft , 1200 pd hammerhead. I'll try finding a pic of it, but my god when I saw it on the news that thing looked prehistoric.
