i'm moving into my own, new house.. four bedrooms two bath, pool, pool table, foosball, and possibly a gaming computer soon... my dad moves into the house next door which is a little bit bigger. it's all pretty sweet.

the house im in now is 4 bedroom one bath and being sold for $389,800 i think.. after it's sold i finally get a car/truck.

Lucky bastard. Most of us have to earn that sort of accomodation. like 10-20 years of earning before even thinking of getting something that size. I'm thinking of getting a morgage for a apartment in a few years, if all goes well with this new job.

Its also annoying when some people work their asses off for years and still have trouble getting by, while others piss around and fail high school, just so daddy can buy them whatever they want.

I moved into my cabin I will be in charge of for camp this summer and as I was sitting there on my bed in the tiny 100 sq. ft. cabin I thought to myself "I would love to be able to afford a place like this". I should be moving out soon, however house prices here have jumped so drastically. There is a MAJOR housing shortage here because everyone is moving here because of the economy. They have had bidding wars for houses and have held auctions in which homes go for thousands over the asking price. It is insane. I don't know how i'm going to afford a house.

The house I live in was worth $300,000 5 years ago (bought it for way cheaper about 15 years ago) and now it's probably worth 3/4 of a million because of the shortage. Little dinky condos are going for like $400,000 and the only place I can find a place i can afford would be crack alley or something. It's nuts. May have to rent for a while and hopefully the market will slow down.
