So i know many of you are in college - others about to go to college...as i was working today i had time to think and for some reason Simo came to my mind happy: and how he most of the time makes thread about college and this came to mind. What are you plans? what are you going to major in? And for those who already passed that - what was your dream career/job?What did you major in?why?


I have two ideas so far....being a psychiatrist or majoring in computer science

Music Education Major. I'm hoping to get with a group of highschool kids over smaller children, but it all depends on job openings I guess since I'll be certified K-12

I'm a biology major. I think I want to concentrate on Genetics, but I'm not too sure. Hopefully go into research someday...maybe become a professor and do research at a university? i dunno. we shall see when the time comes, im only a freshman.

my brother is majoring in that. A week before classes started for his senior year, he got offered a job at Air Products for fucking $53,000/yr. pretty damn good starting salary if you ask me. good field to go into.

Im a History Major and thinking about either becoming a Guidance Counselor or a Social Worker.

Science Major in computer graphics and marketing/business administration. After that i'm going for advanced multi-media, movie/game/video creation/prodcution and all that good stuff rock:

Television production and Broadcasting
I ran a camera for the first Live new broadcast this year today. It felt awesome.
http://www.lyndonstate.edu/news7/ you can go to the site and watch live streaming video of all the happenings in the studio or all the old broadcasts. I believe right now we are #1 in the country for College news broadcasting beating out schools like Emerson, Ithaca, BU, and a few others.
Im not sure exactly what I want to do with it but as of now Id like to do some travel and documentary work.

I don't really have a major... Im doing 4 years of college...

-2 Years in DTP (Digital Media Technical Production)
-2 Years in CRM (Corporate Media)

*Then possibly 2 to 4 years if need be while I work (Part Time) studying graphic design and the like. (University).


-Grad's from my program work @ pixar, and the current President of MObile Gaming @ Capcom was a grad as well. I am hoping to start up a wedding videography buisness, maybe work @ a network, only time will tell.

im going to ITT in december and taking Multimedia, then probably staying the full 3 1/2 yrs so i can do game development

actually, I was thinking maybe Id join the mobile infantry, earn my citizenship before finishing college

Went to college for "Architect" and ended up switching to "Electronics/Electrical engineer". Not in either field now but believe it or not, i use stuff learned from both from time to time.

My advice to you guys is this....don't put all your eggs in one basket. Have a "plan B" in place incase shit doesn't work out.
