Pontiac with a nice car?!

The new G8 looks fucking gorgeous! The rear looks like an Audi A4, and the front looks like a mean BMW M3

http://www.pontiac.com/g8/

with 362 Horses, thats quite impressive, RWD to boot

Wow, that does look nice.

Milla 02-21-2007 10:21 PM

I just looked at the inside pics, this car is actually really really gorgeous inside to.

Unknown_Sniper 02-21-2007 10:26 PM

I saw this a while ago. Im glad they are going in the direction of forward and not old relics.

Milla 02-21-2007 10:30 PM

Dude im "building" a Pontiac G6 GT, they have tons of exterior customizations, 18 inch wheels and all kinds of other cool little things to add, i have this one im building for like 23,000 fully loaded and shit, 225HPs. not to shabby.

Its a shame Pontiacs arent to popular. Hopefully with this new lineup they will start to compete with Ford, Dodge and Chevy.

Unknown_Sniper 02-21-2007 10:57 PM

I jsut checked out their line up. I was surprised to see the grand priz had a HUD and paddle shifters. Guess pontiac is finally getting their shit together and possibly making good cars now.

Bucknub 02-21-2007 10:59 PM

dude

my automatic 2002 four door sunfire > thier whole line up.

No manual transmission? Just another gay car sleeping:

Short Hand 02-21-2007 11:35 PM

Where have you guys been ? Pontiac is becoming GM's line to compete BMW, Audi and the like. Pontiac has completely been overhauled to say the least.

1. G8 = a Holden as well ;)
2. All pontiacs are supposed to be RWD performance driven by 2010.

just because it comes STANDARD with an automatic doesnt mean there isnt an optional manual.. im not gonna research, but i'd bet you alot of bones there is going to be that option... sleeping:

Tripper 02-22-2007 12:15 AM

Those pontiacs just look like what Holdens have looked like for the past decade.

jujumantb 02-22-2007 01:23 AM

Poseidon 02-22-2007 02:28 AM

Looks very nice, doubt we'd them over here though.

Nyck 02-22-2007 08:15 AM

I have a pontiac now, I would never buy another one.

bougt it brand new in 2001 and shit is failing on it all over.

c312 02-22-2007 08:23 AM

great lookin car but I would never buy manual. Too much of a hassle in high traffic areas. (I live in the 3rd worst traffic in the US)

Yes, you have a product from before GM's reconstruction. Their new lineup is basicly the 2nd most depndable brand of vehicles on the road next to Toyota.

Yep.

They certainly lack in the fuel Economy sector of the market !(Ecotec Motors only get around 34 to 36mpg) But the Ecotec has proven itself, being insane performance wise, and being able to take a beating. The LSx series of V8's shows its versatility,(Vette Motor getting 25mpg + what ?!?) the Duramax IS the most dependable AND most capable Diesel motor on the road. Ill also take a Vortec over a "Hemi" anyday of the week. GM is so sure of their new technology, that they are putting an insane warrenty to go with it as well. THEY mean business. Bad moves threwout the 80's and 90's has cost them big time, and let companies like Toyota and Honda to grab Market share. (Honda has less then 10 % of the market in Japan, yet 60 % + worth of the subcompact market here in North America.)

*AND to anyone who beleives that the Big 3 should just "die" already.. Think again.. They are extremely important to both the Canadian and American economy.

I'm sure it's a nice car but the look is boring as hell. Looks like another Grand Am.

Looks like every other great selling 4 door out there. G35x, Altima, 550's. Camry. Cars that are selling which GM needs :).

TonyMontana 02-23-2007 04:15 PM
