How often do you get drunk?
 

Im just completely curious. As a freshman college student, I get drunk 3-4 times a week, depending on how much work I have to do. This also applies to drugs...how often do you do them during a week? Im in Vermont....weed is second nature to use. This has been discussed before, but in my drunk state it seems like the freshest thing to hit gf1 in a long while :)

Im not trying to be cool...just seeing what the norm is. I know a few of us are in the college years...damn.

All depends on the time & location. Just about every weekend though & when I was at uni I didn't just have a little drink, I'd get wasted 5 pints or a bowl of vodka & coke + shots & bottles etc.

I don't really like drink & I generally hate just sitting around my mates house, playing ps2 and drinking for the hell of it, for me that has to be the saddest thing ever. I only drink if I'm going to go out kus it gives a little more 'dutch courage' when going clubbing. I can't dance when I'm sober...

When at a bar or meeting some girlies for drinks I only tend to have one pint as that's enough to make me just a little more sociable but still able to think very clearly & keep on my toes.

However, there are times when I've drank far to excess, notably the house parties & ibiza. Sometimes we'd be doing shots of absinthe every night, my mate Dan did a vodka shot to the eye... One bar we could drink as much vodka & coke as we wanted to for an hour. I'd do that, go puke up then go drink some more... In ibiza I was at least on half a small bottle of vodka a day, after a week or so that tends to catch up with you & combined with the hardcore late night clubbing till 7am, I'm sure It was starting to fk me up mentally. I would get so anxious I wouldn't even like waiting in a que for more than an hour or being confined in a small area with lots of people, whereas normally I'd be pretty chilled.

I don't plan on drinking & clubbing forever, I want to quit all this bs by the time I'm about 26. I think it's something you have to do when you're young otherwise you miss out on it & then feel the urge to go clubbing when you're 35 & look like a bit of a tit.

For me, I drink alot during the week, but I don't get drunk that often. On Mondays I go out to play beer pong at a bar around here. It's pretty fun, and I can usually end up winning a good amount of cash ( 200 last week and 120 this week). On Tuesdays I go out with friends to chicken wing night and I sometimes get a pitcher of beer if I'm feeling it, or just a cherry coke. Then on Thursdays I play beer pong again at a diffrent bar. I don't really get drunk, but there's been times where I have. I'd say on an average week, I drink about 4-5 days, but only get drunk maybe 2 or 3 times. It's really sad cause at age 22 there's nothing to do around here other then go to bars or parties and drink. I've tried times where I won't drink, but it's really hard considering all your friends are around you drinking and having fun, and you're the stick in the mud sober guy just watching them.

Ya that was my biggest prob too, there's sweet fa to do in my home town in Kent, you gotta be off your face to have a good time in the same old clubs for 3 years. As soon as I get the pad in London though I'm gana try & find a more healthy lifestyle & maybe take up things like squash & rowing. rock:

I must emphasise that I only drink in order to get drunk, otherwise I see no point in it. I dislike the taste of beer & would rather drink orange juice or something. I've had some great times when drunk, it's certainly something to wake up in your mates garden wondering wtf happened last night? With a union jack flag as a blanket, covered in makeup & lipstick & with chicken khourma curry stains halfway up your arm. Then you see your mate & he's completely covered in red paint from head to toe rock:

I only drink on weekends, and that doesn't necessarily mean i get drunk. i don't drink during the week.

Well it was the winter so the number of parties decreased. but since it is getting warmer there is going to be a party at our local golf course fridays and saturdays every week until winter. Then i go to college. so yeah.

so we live in suburbia so basically you go to this golf course by sneaking through 50ft of trees and a backyard. you walk deep in, and find a sand trap or area. It is a full golf course and surrounded by woods. If the cops from our town would show up they cant do anything because it is technically the Bronx.

So yeah, thats how it works.

Last time ive been really drunk was New Years. I now only imbibe 2-3 drinks a week.

Interesting choice of venue, I can understand sleeping there but not really the point of going there to drink, unless you are underage.

...During the school year id say an average of once a week I get drunk

....During the summer months around 2-3 days per week

I don't really like getting drunk during the actual week...but sometimes I do but thats usually only when my buddy Mike is down.

depends on my credit load, this semester its usually one random weeknight then thrus fri sat so about 4. when school is more rigorous its 2-3

High School. So yeah there is a point to go there.

Not nearly as often as I used to... annoy:

I differ on the non drunk drinking Fluff. I've had days where I'll come home from work and just have a beer and relax. Won't get drunk or anything, but I do in fact like the taste of beer.

Before I started working though, I was getting drunk like 6 days a week. It was the only thing to do. It's a bitch now because I work, but still drink sometimes and then have to get up at 7 am. I actually got in trouble this week because I got pretty drunk Monday and then went to work Tuesday hungover and fell asleep at my desk : / Learned my lesson though.

Like I said though, there's pretty much nothing else to do at 22. Most everything you do at this age, usually involves booze. "Hey wanna go to the beach? Yeah! Okay, let's get a case of beer...." or "let's play baseball! Alright, just lemme stop at the liquor store...." It's kinda sad, but I guess that's how it works. I've talked to people who are where I'm at now and most of them are well off. They always tell me "Well, you're just young. Eventually you'll sober, get a house, have a kid and the whole nine..." It's almost depressing sorta...lol.

often. Varies by the week /month/ and part of the school year, and schedule. Right now it varies from 0-3 nights a week. At the end of the semester when finals are about over, probably every night.

I drink some sort of alcoholic beverage everyday. But I may get drunk or over do it once a month.

Drunk? Maybe....maybe once a year i'll drink just a bit too much. Other than that, if i drink, it's to get a buzz, then i stop.

Yar im 23 & the youngest at my workplace in London, second youngest is some girl of 26, most of the guys I hang with at work are 27-33. My usual mates are 19-22. I think it's pretty cool hanging with older people at times, mainly due to their experience in life. I remember one guy of 40 whos happily married & has two kids etc. But he got married at 21 & never really lived the single party life. We went to a few bars & he was telling me to go nuts & get every lady I can kus it's only more difficult as I get older- wise advice imho the_finger: I guess after studying history it's certainly taught me to listen & make judgements from other peoples experiences.

I drink whenever possible. Drugs are a different story. I got too deep into those during my high school years and never want to go back to them.
