And football uniforms continue to get faggier and faggier...
Oregon State upgraded (more like retardegraded) their uniforms for next season. It looks like they're wearing sports bras.

as the resident Oregon State fan of this forum, i would have to agree. They change their jerseys so often (much like the Oregon Ducks) that usually they end up going back to their old uniforms though.
And is that last picture of NCAA 08? ed: |
I concur, that looks "ghey"
|
That number 26 is one badazz looking chick. When did OSU start letting girls on the team?
|
Yes, it is a picture of NCAA 08. Big graphical boost from last year (player models looked like steroid freaks). EA Sports is finally trying to get their shit together (I think I'll make a thread on it later).

he's does look like a girl in that pic though.

They don't look as bad as what the Eagles are wearing for the 75th anniversary uniform this year. Its one thing to have the same colors and wear it but to make it shiny? wtf.

Nike is responsible for all of these disgusting jerseys and they were cofounded by a track coach at Oregon University so I'm guessing they pursue deals with OU and OSU because it's where they got started.
|
thats probably what happened. Oregon got tired of the ugly jerseys they were getting from nike, so I guess nike went to Oregon state to try them. I guess those schools are testing grounds for the other OSU's of the world

I like the whole thing black with a little orange..but every other one is oOo:

is that also "as the resident oregon state fan"? as the resident wisconsin fan, PJ Hill is the premier back in the nation, I also have an african american history lecture and discussion with him, dumbest person I have encountered at our fine university |
you guys are both fucking retarded
darren mcfadden kthx not even a close 2nd is the dude from WV and Mike Hart from michigan pj hill just racked up stats on shit teams. |

we had a decent team last year though... not shit atleast. after we settled down later in the season, we could have hung with mich or ohio. |
D-MAC VS. Miss St Att 26 84 Yds 3.2 Avg 0 Td
Steve Slaton VS. Miss St Att 26 185 Yds 7.1 Avg 1 Td Steve Slaton > D-Mac Kthnx |

we played you 4th week! after such tough contests as bowling green and san diego state oOo: just sayin we were still working the kinks out back then, went 8-0 after. |

D-Mac > Slaton
Dmac's stats are altered because he has another good back that he splits the duties with to throw off defenses And don't forget the fact that Dmac plays in a way tougher conference than Slaton does. |
Quote:
Steve Slaton's Career stats Vs The SEC 52 Att 389 Yds 7.48 Avg 4 Tds Again against Miss St Slaton had the same number of carries as D-Mac 26, but more than twice the yards. Slaton ran for 204 yds against the SEC conference champion Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. Numbers don't lie. Slaton > D-Mac |
What SEC teams did slaton play against? I am not sure, but I would say they are probably not the same strength teams that Arkansas played against, which would distort his numbers.
Arguing this is useless anyway, we'll see this year how both players do, I think they are both strong contenders for the Heisman. |
My point was that Slaton and Mcfadden had one common opponent last year, Miss St. Slaton and Mcfadden both had 26 carries but Slaton racked up twice the yards.
Any your right it is pointless to argue about it. I was just trying to point out some facts. But if Steve and D-Mac both have great years D-Mac will when the Heisman because of the SEC bias. |
You can't really base player potential and level of play on one game. They're both good players, and future first round (maybe top 10) draft picks.
|
you guys forgot about Yvenson
|
I looked over Yvenson' stats and he put up a lot of solid numbers but nothing compared to D-Mac or Slaton.
|
yeah, it's just too hard to judge players especially when they play in different conferences, game plans (offensive and defensive schemes), etc... It just gets pointless. I mean, look at least year, the Heisman winner was beat out by how many quarterbacks in the draft? Quite a few. Being called "the best" is subjective to what people think at one time, there are too many players for it to have legitimate amount of certainty.

Same here. I noticed Yvenson had the lowest YPC of the top 20 rushers in the nation last year. Why is that? Does Orgeon State's O-line suck? He's a solid player no doubt, but even Felix Jones, who is Darren McFadden's backup, only trailed Yvenson by 200 yards and his YPC was much higher. Right now McFadden and Slaton are far ahead of any of the other RBs in the country. Ian Johnson may be close, but his team plays against garbage every week. |

good point, they do have similar blocking, those smaller, faster zone block linemen at WVU are just like those at Denver, especially the guys from a few years back. What are the odds he gets drafted by them though? I assume he'll go pretty high if he stays healthy and I'm not sure, but I don't think Denver will be bad enough to get any of the real early picks. Either way, I think next year will be a good draft year, or at least an interesting one. |
If Slaton stays healthy and has a good year he will definitely enter the 2008 draft. He already has child and I believe he would seize the oppurtunity to make millions. We did sign one of the top prospects at RB in the nation Noel Devine. He is small but lightning quick and very strong. Hopefully he develops into a fine super back as we call them here at WVU.

Wait I thought he decided to not sign and just went AWOL? I hope he did in fact sign because I can't wait to see him play. He's one of the best RB prospects coming out of high school since Barry Sanders. Yes, he is more impressive than Reggie Bush. The guy bench presses 350 lbs and he only weighs about 185. |
He signed his Letter of Intent earlier in the month. He recently got his ACT scores back and is now qualified to play.
|
Good. Huge pickup for WV. Better hope Rodriguez yanks a knot in his neck to keep him in line and turn his attitude and social problems around, because his natural athletic ability is incredible.
|
Oregon State isn't on par with the WV's and Wisconsin's of the world. They rely mostly on JUCO's for their players (ala Chad Johnson) and talented players who aren't rated high because of troubled backgrounds (a poor man's WV). A good season for us is around 8 wins and a bowl appearance (last season we had ten with a bowl win over Mizou). Yvenson Bernard, at the start of last season, was the go-to-guy on the OSU offense, and eventually this wore him down since he was game planned against and got injured occasionally. This year, although we lost our solid QB and great TE, I think he will be able to make himself known nationally because he has the talent to do so. I agree he is no Steve Slaton, but he will be one of the, if not the, best the Pac-10 has to offer.
