I didn't use that pic as a reference. Actually, I didn't use any pic as a reference, for neither Hitler or Tom Hanks.

do you know what a glory hole is?

There would have to be a hidden stranger on the other end of the hole.

Thats one single sig of a very well regarded film.

Its not dozens of threads and post-references and its also not several sigs. Its also not one big cliche stereotype of a sci-fi.

...Man you're a fucking tickled twat - Can you see that the pictues are of their fucking heads? Of course I cant see their clothes you fucking nerd. Gtfo.

HOLY FUCK EVERYBODY ITS A SHIRT. LOOK, LOOK. LOOK.....A SHIRT.

How the fuck is it clearly a period shirt? Its a plain fucking shirt...NOTHING about that shirt identifies it as a "period" shirt. Suspenders? I see what looks like a gun holster.

I made the sci-fi assumption because the pic is of the douche most famous for his role in FIREFLY which is a fucking sci-fi show....A WESTERN sci-fi show no less.....Hmmm, could coma be trying to weasel his way out of looking like a total nerd? Yep - Looks like it. FAIL.

Seriously coma, don't be a fucking reject. Just shut the fuck up and leave, you've embarrassed yourself enough times already.

P.S - Use your own fucking insults, phallusface.

Nyck 05-22-2007 07:05 PM

Can we use the tried and true bashing about his apparent hideousness?

Im talking about his battlestar fagtastica obsession (Its probably more of a 92b thing) - Its pretty typical sci-fi. Just the fact that everyone in the future flies spaceships and has matching uniforms and gay names alone is cliche.

Everyone doesn't fly ships, and the only people who have matching uniforms (and fly the ships) are the soldiers who you'd expect to have matching uniforms. Everyone else dresses pretty much like people would dress in our modern time. As for gay names - those are their call signs. Again, they're soldiers.

If you're talking about the old version, sure - but the new version has regarded as well (if not moreso) than the sci-fi flick in your sig.

Like CHILDREN OF MEN - BSG's sci-fi trappings are there to help create the metaphorical situations, and allegories to modern times.

Okay, so you were talking about the show too - Yeah well, how about a sci-fi show WHERE THERE ARE NO SPACESHIPS...How about a sci-fi show where the main characters DONT travel through space....Its too hard for writers/producers to comprehend. Only really cliche sci-fi element in Children Of Men, was that it was set in the future.

Sure I dont watch the show and that probably gives me no right to judge it - but I dont care - im only bothering to talk about it because Im trying to tease coma - You're making it hard. Just sigh at my ignorance and leave me to it, because I honestly would never bother with a show like that anyway.

I never said it was anything different. Just curious as to what gave away, to tripper, that it was in fact from a sci-fi show.

Also, to make this point yet again, I despise stereotypical sci-fi shows. Star Trek, Stargate, Andromeda, Farscape, Babylon 5, whatever else these cheeto eating basement dwellers cum all over, aint for me. I like BSG and Firefly because they ARENT typical. Other than the fact that it;s people in ships that fly in space, there is NOTHING to relate BSG to Star Trek or whatever else. I don't watch for the "ZOMG SHIPS!!!!" stuff, I watch for the characters. My sigs, my posts, everything, is focused on the characters. Time Magazine, Rolling Stone, EW all call BSG one of the best DRAMAS on TV - period. It's like Milla puting Jack Bauer in his sigs; I could care less about the sci-fi elements of either show, I watch for the people.

Whatada 05-23-2007 06:15 AM

so it's just a coincidence that the only shows you watch are sci-fis?

well you'd be hard pressed to say I 'watch' firefly, as it's been cancelled. but no. I watch lost, family guy, the daily show, the colbert report, south park, king of queens, the simpsons, adult swim...

The only show I am actually invested in in terms of serialized drama and character happens to have a sci-fi backdrop, but then galactica isnt exactly sci-fi.

TGB! 05-23-2007 08:24 AM

Oh shut the fuck up - it is Sci-Fi. It may be smart Sci-Fi, but its still sci-fi. I hate tossers like you who can't admit to watching "geekshit" - like you have to apologize for your viewing habits.

And Trip - well just have to agree to disagree. . .what you call cliche - I simply call genre trappings; which I'm sure Children Of Men has much of as well.
