just looking for opinons from people who have actually played games not just internet reviews on them. this could be any game any system of recent.

for example:

Im interested in dead rising I played the demo it was pretty fun but it seemed the premise(killing thousands of zombies) would get old quick

does the game have a decent enough storyline to push it along?

just finished up Rainbow Six Vegas, was a fun time.. Although the "tactics" kind of wear thin, you plan how youre gonna enter a room but after that its pretty much just "shoot all the bad guys".. Could have used more depth on that side of things but still a really fun game, great visuals, decent story.. Including cliche twist ending.

just bought red orchestra from steam a week ago (not a recent game but they have a 20% off deal and new content).

easily the best online wwii shooter ive ever played, probably the best all around aswell. I dont have a top notch system (bf2 gets choppy), but RO runs very smooth and had good enough graphics.

what makes it great is that the battles usually remain pretty centralized. if you are on a good server, you wont be able to go off on your own without getting taken down quickly. gets pretty entense, built in VOIP is great too.

im playing that on my 360 now. My newest tatic is to send in the troops 1st. too many times i would take point and get whacked and have to play entire sections over again, meanwhile if your squadmates get capped you can bring them back to life.

yeah i usually do that too. i just find almost always the tactics come down to a frag fest

I used to play RO religiously. I play every now and then. I'm just waiting for Insurgency now.

RO is pretty leet.

Call of Juarez is a pretty cool western fps.
I played through the demo a couple of times already. The concentration mode is sweet. Riding horses is awkward at first.
I haven't tried the multiplayer as of yet.
I actually might buy this one when it comes out.

This game coming out called Dirt is really good, rally game. Its fun and the gfx look awesome. Subarus ftw though

well seeing as though i have it heres a quick review;

intially you play and it feels a bit limited, but once you get into it a bit more and level up more and find all the bits and pieces then open up the longer modes it all starts to be fun. only bad point about the game is the very annoying lack of many save points; but based on a reduced price as its been out a while its definetly one to play and great one to go about trying to get the achievements for. especially when you find things like the cars and go down into the basement emergency roads.

Played it at a friends house and its pretty cool. Pretty much anything can be used as a weapon, but I definitely see how it can get boring. There is a story and you have to save people, but most of it is mindless killing without much strategy. I see it more as a rental then anything else. Im assuming you have it, but if u dont, Gears of War is one of the best games Ive played on Xbox360.

Agreed, those save-points are a fucker...

Just the pure size of the mall, and the fact that there is so much content there is kind of bewildering when you first get into the game, so you tend to miss alot of stuff in favour of the game storyline - So as you play through the game you start noticing and figuring out new things - Level ups like elstat said eleeten your character - My dude wears a dress.

Did you play this on PC or 360?

If PC, what are your PC specs and how did it run, I'm thinking about getting it. I should be good i got a 2.2ghz amd, 7800gt and 1gig ram?

saw forza 2 running ona friends 360 today, looks way more polished than the demo.

have to say i loved the first on the first xbox, was perfect spot on racer where gran turismo always goes a little too over the top and does the same thing all the time.

Yeah its really good man, consistent frame rates. I haven't seen my slow down at all.

Yea I didn't expect to be playing it on the highest settings.

I just starrted playing Hulk: Ultimate Destruction its an old xbox game. its FUN AS FUCK. its basically crackdown but with the hulk. I only paid 6 bucks for it brand new too.

ultimate spiderman is pretty decent on the original xbox. nice cel shaded comic style really makes it funky to play.

I'm looking forward to Army of Two. The videos look really good, and funny as shit.

Well the Eclipse was one of my first cars, my RS4 is maxed out right now. Its in the U999 class. I also have a 2005 STi maxed out and a ton of other cars, but im like 45% done with the game. eek:

can i upgrade my vw all the way to u999?

only got the game today after i traded lost planet and saints row, its pretty sweet.

one other thing, if i choose my douche bag car online - can other people see how it looks with the custom paint job?

Yes they can see your custom car lol. And i dont know, you may be able to get to U999 if you do max out on all upgrades you know motor swap and what not, better tires and suspension.

We need to get a race going, i tried joining bucknubs but i kept getting a connection error, but i can join other games. We need a GF1 race

Dude online races are hard as fuck, ppl are ridiculously good.

I'm racing on some Factory spec levels, meaning no tuning allowed, no aftermarrket parts, and if you look at the scoreboards people are doing the map in about 40 seconds faster than I am. And i'm literally pushing my car to the limits, I dont know how people do it, they must hack, because all the cars are the same damn thing as far as power and handling.
